"OUCH!" shouts Nick.

Rachel wakes to his scream. She races into the kitchen to find him running cold water over his arm. "Sweetie what happened?!"

"I went to turn down the shove-eye and bacon grease popped up on my arm. I was trying to make you breakfast."

"Oh you're so sweet." She kisses his cheek. "Let me see. It's just a little red, no permanent damage. I'll go get some medicine." After she bandages his arm she checks on the food. "Yummy. Burnt bacon and runny eggs."

"If I hadn't got hurt it would have been good."

"It's okay, everybody messes up. I don't know how many times I've messed up on something new. But I'm not going to eat it."

"I don't expect you to."

"Why don't we go have breakfast with your family?"

"Okay, I love you."

"I love you too."

Later that day Nick and Rae go to the mall. "Rachel, Nick how have you two been?" asks Jake.

"We're fine." replies Nick.

"What are you doing here?" asks Rae.

"I've moved my business to LA. How about I tell you all about it over a cup of coffee? And you can fill me in on what's been happening with my best bodyguard."

"You go on Rachel, there's a shirt I want to look for."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, I'll catch up with you later. I love you."

"Love you." She kisses him goodbye.

Jake goes to order their drinks and Rachel finds a table. A young blond sits across from her. Rae recognizes Nick's ex immediately. "You're Rachel aren't you?"

Rae gives an annoyed smile. "Hi Candy. Yes I am."

"Oh so you know me?" asks Candy.

"Yeah. I knew about you before I met Nick. Just consider me a BSB fan who got lucky."

"So how did you and Nick celebrate his birthday?"

"We went to Disney Land with his family then had a party at their house. Last night he got his presents from me."

"I remember when we were together on his birthday two years ago." Candy gives an evil giggle. "That night we..."

"Look I have to go." says Rachel jumping up from the table. She goes over to Jake. "Cancel my order. When you see Nick tell him I'm going to the gym."

"What's wrong?"

She runs out and hits someone. "Sorry, excuse me."

"Rae Honey what's wrong?" It's Nick.

"I have to go." she says tearfully and runs away.

Nick is left stunned. "Hi Nick." says Candy.

"Candy." replies Nick through clinched teeth. He turns to face her. "It's been two years. Get over it, I have. I love her, my family, and friends, and fans all love her. I'm not going to let you ruin it." He heads after Rachel.
