A little over two years later Jake comes to Nick and Rachel's house.

"Hey Jake."

"Hey Rachel. Where's Nick?"

"At the mall with Aaron hunting for the latest video games. They may be twenty-three and fifteen but they're still children."

"That they are. Rachel how would you like to go to work again?"

"What do you have in mind?"

That night Nick makes a spaghetti dinner. Afterwards he and Rachel cuddle on the couch. "I told you I'd have you cooking." she says smiling.

"You taught me well." he says with a chuckle.

"Nick I want to work again?"

"What do you mean Baby? You're still considered a part of BSB's security, and we've got that tour of Australia we're leaving for in a couple of days."

"Nick, Jake came by earlier. He has another stalking case he'd like me to work on."

"What's the deal this time?"

"A murder witness. She's Jake's neighbor. The killer's been making threatening phone-calls to her, Jake's been guarding her. The cops want to catch this guy but he hasn't made a move since Jake's been around. Jake thinks the guy will show up since he want think of me as a threat. I don't
have to go until you leave."

"No!"

"What do you mean 'NO'? I'm not asking you for permission."

"I'm not letting you go deal with some murderer."

"How would you like it if I told you you couldn't sing sing go on tour?"

"That's different, that's not dangerous."

"Everything is dangerous. Nick please? I love you, I don't want to fight. Just try and understand?"

"I do understand, It's just your nature to be a protector. I just don't want anything to happen to you. I feel sorry for this girl but I gotta take care of my girl. I know you can take care of yourself, I'm just worried."

"I always worry about you too. Nick I'll be as careful as possible I promise."

He sighs. "Okay. Let's go to bed."

Nick runs his hand along Rachel's body and rests it on her tummy and smiles.

"What are you smiling about?"

He gathers her in his arms. "When this is all over with, my tour and your bodyguard job, I want us to have a baby."

"I've been waiting for you to say that. I would love to have your baby. Now how about we rehearse?" Nick giggles and she starts kissing him.

Two days later they are at the airport. "I don't want to let you go." says Nick hugging Rae tightly.

"Nick your tour last for three weeks and hopefully my assignment will be over by then."

"You've got your cell-phone right? Because I'm going to be calling every single day."

"Yes and I'll be calling you too." They kiss.

"Flight 209 to Sydney, Australia now boarding at gate twelve."

"I love you and I'm going to miss you." says Rachel.

"I'm going to miss you too, I love you." He gives her another kiss and heads for the gate.

She starts to walk away then suddenly turns back. "CARTER!" Nick turns around. She runs up to him and gives him an impassioned kiss. "One last kiss."

"I love you so much." he tells her.

"I love you too."
