"I can't believe Chris has done this to us!" Ben shouted as he paced around the room. The remaining three members of a1 were having a band meeting at Ben and Lisa's house to discuss Christian's 'disappearing act'.

"Now we've had to postpone the tour," Paul said, feeling annoyed.

Mark wasn't as angry as the others. "Listen lads, it's not like Chris to just disappear. I'm worried, something bad might have happened to him,".

Debbie agreed. "Yeah, nobody's seen him, not even his family. Something must be up,".

Before anyone could say anything, the doorbell rang. It was their managers Tim and Vicky who had arrived to start the band meeting.

"Let's leave them to it," Lisa whispered to the other girls. They went into the dining room to watch TV while the boys had their meeting.

"We should ask her about Paul now," Sarah whispered to Lauren. Sam was with them so now would be a good time to ask her if she'd go out with Paul.

Sam was happy to hear that Paul liked her too. "That's cool, now I'll have to find the right time to ask him out,".

Through the door walked Nic, Kathryn and Jo, who had just arrived. "It sounds like Chris is gonna be in deep trouble when he finally turns up," Kathryn said as she sat down on the sofa.

Katy switched on the TV and they watched MTV.

Not long later, they heard the front door shut. Mark walked in with a long face. "The meetings over," he informed the girls. "If Chris doesn't turn up soon he's going to be kicked out of the band,".

Before anyone could say anything, Helen's mobile started ringing. "It's Lucy," she told the others before answering.

Helen listened to Lucy, then gasped suddenly. "Oh my God!" she exclaimed, making the girls go quiet. "What channel is it on, BBC One?". She quickly switch the TV over.

The girls watched in amazement as the BBC Lunchtime News showed a picture of Chris.

"It has been announced today that member of the British boyband a1 Christian Ingebrigtsen is set to be the new Norwegian king later this week," the news reader reported. "The king of Norway passed away on last Saturday and his next living relative is Christian,".

"Ben! Paul!" Lisa shouted, calling the boys in. They came rushing straight in.

"He will be officially crowned at the weekend, and will marry princess Nicola of Sweden on the same day,".

"What?!" everyone cried.

"Lucy and Heather are coming over right now," Helen told everyone as she put her phone down.

Everyone was shocked by the news. "Chris is going to be the king of Norway!" Paul laughed, finding it amusing. "He never told us he was royalty!".

Sam turned the TV over to Sky News. "They might have more on it," she told them. Sure enough, they had a report on the story.

"Insiders report that Mr. Ingebrigtsen knew nothing about being related to the Norwegian royal family and this has come as a 'big surprise' to him," the reporter announced, he was standing outside a big stone castle in the middle of a forest. There was then some video footage of Chris walking into the castle, being led by a number of security guards. A large group of reporters surrounded them, cameras flashing.

"He looks really annoyed," Ben noticed. "I can tell he doesn't want all this,".

"I think we should go and rescue him," Paul said excitedly. He ran over to get the phone book.

"What are you doing?" Ben asked.

"Booking us all tickets to Norway!" he said as he found the number for British Airways.

Not long later, Lucy and Heather arrived. "We'll come too," Lucy told Paul. "Chris needs our help, we've got to get there as quickly as possible!".

Chris sat alone on his plush velvet chair, wishing he could just wake up and discover the last few days were only a dream.

"I don't want to be king," he muttered to himself. "I want to go back with the guys and carry on the tour,".

Bored of sitting alone, Chris walked out of the room onto the main corridor of the castle, which was situated in the town of Bodø in northern Norway.

He spotted a telephone. No-one was around so he quickly picked it up and dialled Lucy's mobile number.

"Hi baby, it's Chris," he said quietly.

"Chris!" Lucy cried. "We just saw the news, we're driving to the airport right now,".

Chris smiled. "Thanks, you can help me get out of here. They're making me marry this princess, I don't want to. You've got to help me escape,".

"How come you never told us you were royalty?" Lucy asked.

"I didn't know," Chris said, this was true. "It came as a surprise to me too,".

"We're getting a flight to Oslo then we're driving the rest of the way," Lucy told him.

"It's a long way from Oslo to Bodø!" Chris laughed. "You'll have to drive up the whole country, though the forests and mountains,".

"Yeah, I know," Lucy replied. "But the only flight we could get was to Oslo, the next flight to Bodø isn't until next week so that would be too late,".

Chris heard footsteps. "I've got to go," he whispered. "I'll try and call again soon. Bye honey, I love you,".

"Love you too, bye,".

Chris put the phone down just before his royal adviser Mathias came along. "Hello Chris," he smiled. "I was just coming to fetch you. You've got a clothes fitting for the wedding now,".

Chris frowned. "Mathias, why do I have to go through with this wedding? I've got a fiancee back in England who I really love. I can't do this to her,".

"I'm sorry Chris," Mathias said sadly. "I know you don't want to. But it's all about politics. Our country has to keep in good relations with our neighbours. Princess Nicola is a huge fan of your group, she'd cause a lot of fuss if you turned her down,".

Chris nodded, he didn't want to let his country down. "At least I can go and rejoin the guys after the wedding. We have a huge tour of Europe to finish,".

"I don't know if that's possible," Mathias said. "Once you're the king you'll need to stay here to make sure the country is being run properly. You won't have time to do any tours,".

Chris's heart sank. "No way! I can't do this to the lads, they're my best friends,". Now Chris was angry. "I'm leaving now, someone else can be king!".

Before Chris could run off, Mathias stopped him. "It's too late, you can't leave now. Everything's set- the crowning, the wedding... Even if you tried to leave, you wouldn't be able to get past the press,".

Chris looked out of the window to see a huge swarm of reporters and photographers at the gates of the castle. He could never get past all of them alone.

"OK then, let's go to the clothes fitting," Chris sighed.
