Later that afternoon, there was still no reply from Christian.

"This is hopeless!" Paul cried as he paced around the bus impatiently. "We need to do something,".

"I agree," Jo nodded. "Chris might not have got the note, even if he did he might not be able to reply,".

Heather had an idea. "How about one of us sneaks into the castle?".

"Good idea," Debbie said. "But we'd get spotted,".

"Not if we find a uniform," Nic suggested.

"And how do we find a uniform?" Sam pointed out.

"Let's go and have a look," Paul grinned. "Sam, you come with me,".

The other girls stayed in the bus while Paul and Sam walked around to the back of the castle, where the staff house was.

"The door's open," Sam whispered as they stood behind a tall pine tree. "I'll sneak in,".

Paul stayed near the door to keep a look out as Sam ran in and found a uniform jacket and badge.

"Thanks babe," Paul smiled as Sam came out and gave it to him. He put the jacket on and pinned on the badge. "Are you coming in too?".

Sam shook her head. "No... I'll stay by the door on lookout,".

They made their way around to the main doorway of the castle. Sam sat on the grass and Paul walked through the doors. The guards on the door assumed he was a member of staff so they let him straight in.

"Whoa, where do I go now?" Paul laughed to himself as he found himself standing in a long corridor. He looked around at all the different doorways.

Suddenly, one of the doors opened and two men came out. "Hvor er Christian? Det går ikke så bra!" one said.

Paul's ears pricked up as he mentioned Chris. But since they were speaking Norwegian, he didn't have a clue what they were saying.

"Jeg tror Christian er syk!" the other man replied, he sounded worried. "Vi må skynde oss,".

The men walked up the grand staircase. Paul decided to follow, hoping they would lead him to Chris.

The men then walked into a room. Paul stood by the door, listening in. He could hear Chris's voice!

As soon as the two men had come out again, Paul slowly opened the door. He peaked inside to see Chris sitting alone.

"Chris!" Paul whispered.

Chris looked up in surprise. "Paul! Come in!".

Paul came in and sat down next to Chris. "We said we'd come and help you... so what's happening? Is the wedding still on?".

Chris nodded sadly. "Yeah, I'm afraid so. I don't want to, but I don't want to let my country down. How is Lucy, is she here?".

"Yeah, she's travelling with Mark so I'd imagine she'll be arriving soon," Paul informed him. "Listen, are you OK? You don't look well,".

"No," Chris admitted. "I don't want to be here! I don't want to be king! I want to go back on tour,".

Before Paul could reply, a pretty girl entered the room. Paul recognised her from the newspapers... it was princess Nicola.

Nicola started talking to Chris in Norwegian. She then turned to Paul. "You shouldn't be here," she said in a Swedish accent, her eyes narrowing.

"Don't listen to her," Chris said to Paul. "You can stay,".

"No, he'll only cause trouble!" Nicola exclaimed, stamping her foot. "I'm calling the guards to take him away,".

"Don't you dare!" Chris shouted as she ran out of the room with a sly smile.

After she'd gone, Chris gave Paul an apologetic look. "I'm sorry about her,".

"You're marrying that cow?" Paul said in disbelief. "I can't understand why,".

"I don't want to!" Chris sighed. "But she's a big fan of us. If I refuse, then she'll stir up big trouble. It's probably cause a war!". He glanced out of the window and saw how the guards were no longer standing around the door. "You'd better make a run for it!".

"OK, well we'll be at the wedding tomorrow," Paul said before rushing downstairs.

Just as he approached the door, he head heavy footsteps. Nicola and the guards were behind him.

Paul quickly fled out of the door and ran into the woods, throwing his jacket off as he ran. "Quick, back to the bus!" he called out to Sam.

They made it back to the bus before the guards could catch up. "We'd better leave," Paul said, out of breath. "The guards are after me, thanks to that nasty princess Nicola!".

Helen sat in the driver's seat and drove off. "I suppose we'd better find a hotel for the night," she said.

"Yeah, let's drive into the town centre to find one," Kathryn agreed.

So they booked into a hotel for the night. After dinner, Paul and Sam went out for a walk together on a date.

"I can't wait to get back to touring," Paul told Sam as they walked through the moonlit woodland.

"I'm not, I'm glad we've got a break from it all at the moment," Sam said. "I love being a dancer and everything, but we're always on the road. I miss home,".

"I miss my home too, but you get used to it," Paul assured her.

"It's not just that," Sam told him. "Now that we're going out, you're going to be too busy to spend time with me. The band takes up your whole life,".

"Yeah but I can't do anything about that, honey," Paul said, giving her a hug.

"Can we at least go on holiday together for a few weeks?" Sam asked.

"I don't know..." Paul replied. "I'd love to, but I might only have enough time for a few days away,".

"That's just typical!" Sam cried. "You care more about the band than me!".

"Sam, don't be selfish! I can't help it!" Paul shouted back.

"Me, selfish? Shut up, you can talk!" Sam yelled back. "I wish you'd just quit the band," she muttered, before turning and running back towards the hotel. "We're over!" she shouted back to him.

Paul stood in shock. He couldn't believe it. "Sam! Come back!" he cried.

But it was too late. She'd gone.

Paul began walking back, trying hard not to cry. He's just lost the only girl he'd ever loved, and wasn't sure if he'd be able to get her back.
