The young child no older than four, stood in the forest of the enchanted. His blonde hair shone like gold, and his blue eyes glistened like the sparkling stream he lay next to.
His mother a beautiful being, sat next to him, she sat singing her song for the queen.
The queen sat in her throne of moss; a hint of a smile traced her face. The child's mother finished and stood silently, holding the hand of her beloved child. The boy smiled and searched the wood with his wandering eyes.
The Queen suddenly stood. The King followed her motion. The woman ruler stepped down the stone steps gracefully. Her golden wings fluttered lightly behind her, leaving a trail of genuine gold dust. She stood in front of the half mortal woman. She gazed her dark green eyes down at the boy. She graced her hand across his fair skin. Then spoke, her voice like a unicorn's hoof moving silently across cobblestone. "Dear woman, your mother, my beloved servant, was a wonderful fairy. She was beautiful and sung like an angel as you yourself do. Then she married your father, a mortal. I hated it. She had to leave the forest of the fairies. Now, the child you hold. He is mortal and does not belong in our world. You must stay. You have two choices, one you may kill the boy, or two you may send him to a family in the mortal world.".
The woman's eyes grew wide. Either way she would lose her son. The king walked beside his wife.
"There is an upside dear girl. My wife and I have just had a child of our own. A lovely little girl, Emma Star. If you wish your son to join you in this forest, he shall wait until his 20th birthday, where someone shall fetch him and bring him here, Where he shall marry our daughter and become an enchanted one.". The Queen nodded in agreement.
The woman, the child's mother, spoke. "Your majesty's, I have chosen to send my son to the mortal realm, where he will be taken care of by a woman and a man, they shall have lots of children after he. And he shall be happy. I wish he shall join me and your daughter in this realm after his 20th birthday.".
The queen nodded. The boy looked up as his mother. She was slowly fading away.
"My son, you shall return. I promise, but while you are away. You shall have the voice of an angel, you shall be seen of everyone, and loved by your family. Slowly you will remember me, and this, your home. And you shall return. But be careful my son, the one with the eyes as dark as her soul may keep you from me.". She smiled and leaned forward, kissing his forehead and then she was gone.
