I heard a scream and heard another shot, immediately I threw AJ on the ground and reached for my gun.
"Marianne!" I heard Justin shout.
"Over hear! Let's clear out." I responded.
"Roger...on my count! 1, 2...NOW!" Justin hollered. I pushed AJ forward and ran out. I heard Ewen respond several time to the fire. We dodged out of the park and by the time we reached the emergency cars there was no one else nearby. I could hear ambulances. I shoved AJ in the car and got in as well. As I took out the keys, I saw something that horrified me. AJ was holding his side, which was bleeding.
"Oh dear God! AJ, are you ok?" I asked pushing the seat back. He just gritted his teeth and looked back at me.
"Ok, dumb question, let me see." I said starting the engine. He shook his head and grumbled.
"Look, you don't want to let me see that's fine with me, just hold on until we get to the hospital." I started driving.
"That's cool."
"Don't talk...save your strength." He nodded.
I made a sudden U-turn when I almost crashed into an ambulance. Well that was just what I needed. I turned the engine off, while the guys in the ambulance looked at me blankly.
"I need a stretcher here! NOW!" I shouted. The guys got the hint and immediately got out with the stretcher. They got AJ out and in a few seconds we were heading to the hospital.
"His pulse is low." One attendee said. I got the hint.
"AJ, c'mon wake up, AJ WAKE UP!" I shouted, but did not shake him. He gingerly opened his eyes and whispered something.
"AJ now listen to me, you CAN'T die you understand that?" He nodded.
"He's stable." The attendee assured me.
Just then the hospital appeared
and soon AJ was on his
way to the ER. I stayed behind and called Justin. He
was on his way to the hospital too, with Ewen.
