"You're from Seattle?" I said amused. I could tell that wasn't what she had to say, but I let it go. I couldn't make her tell me.

She took my hand and pulled me down to the sand. "Lay down." she whispered.

I laid my head in her lap and watched as the waves licked the tips of the rocks. She ran her fingers through my hair. I smiled it was like we were a real couple. Nothing like what Samantha Lynn and I were. I wished it would never end, but I knew in time it would.

I let my eyes close, I was still tired and a rest might do me good today.

I felt horrible inside; I had lied to Nick for another time. All the lies just kept adding up onto the mental list I had made. I worked my power as I combed my fingers through his hair. I watched as he closed his eyes. My power had worked, making him fall asleep.

"Brian he is asleep, I'm going to check out the mark." I whispered inside of my mind.

"Okay hurry up. He might wake up any minute."

I looked at the little mark on his neck. It was definitely from my world. It wasn't the normal 'back off' mark, this was more on a personal bases. A sun and a crescent moon combined.

"I got it Brian." I continued combing my fingers through his soft hair. If I could freeze time I would have done it right then.

"Jordayn teleport back with the details and image."

I closed my eyes and focused my energy around Nick and I. Teleporting one person was easy, but teleporting two took concentration. When I opened my eyes Nick and I were on the living room floor. Brian and Kevin were standing in the doorway. I smiled as I looked down at Nick's peaceful form. Slowly I slide out from under him careful so as not to wake him. I took a blanket off of the couch and covered him up.

Then I joined my cousins in the kitchen "Well is it the force Uncle had to fight?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "Not sure, take a look at it for yourself." I pictured the mark in my mind and waited as Brian and Kevin looked inside my mind to see it.

"It looks like more of a personal mark to me." Kevin said after a few moments.

I didn't realize that Brian was still reading my thoughts. I had carelessly blocked them and somehow he had gotten in. "Jordayn! Don't think that!" he scolded.

"Why not?" I asked.

"You would give your powers to be with Nick? Think about this J."

I crossed my arms. "I have, and if that's what I have to do to be with Nick. Then that's what I'll do."

Brian began pacing. "J that's like leaving your family! Your heritage, You wouldn't be able to do anything anymore, you wouldn't be able to cure Nick's sight." Brian put a hand on my shoulder.

"I'll cure Nick's sight before I give in my powers. But I want to be mortal, I don't want to lie anymore."

As I opened my eyes I wasn't surprised to not see anything. Yet again my vision was blurred. I could hear people talking. "Brian! Kevin! Jordayn!" I yelled for anyone that could hear me. I could tell that someone was walking into the living room.

"What is it Nick?" Brian asked.

"I can't see, could you get me a cloth for my eyes." I could hear more people come into the living room.

"No Brian wait." I felt someone kneel next to me.

"Nick close your eyes." Jordayn whispered. I did as she said, not knowing what to expect. She lightly put her fingers over my eyes for a few minutes.

Then I felt her take them off. I didn't open my eyes right away. I felt her kiss me.

"Open your eyes Nick." As I opened them I was amazed, I could see more clearly than I ever had before. I looked at her and she looked like she was crying. Slowly she got up and took Brian in the kitchen leaving Kevin and I.

"Nick you have an eye exam today. You better get ready." Kevin said quietly.

I nodded and ran upstairs to change.

I had kneeled next to Nick. It was time for me to cure his sight and leave.

"Nick close your eyes." I whispered. I didn't expect this time to be so emotional. I was crying, the last time I cried was when my father died.

I watched as Nick obeyed me. I smiled and placed my fingers on his eyes. I pushed the energy through my body and into his. I repaired what I had damaged so long ago. When I was done I slowly took my fingers away. Then I kissed him, not knowing if it would be the last time.

"Open your eyes Nick." Slowly his eyes fluttered open He looked at me and I couldn't stand it any more. I got up and took Brian into the kitchen.

"There has to be a way." I cried.

Brian shook his head. "No Jordayn, there isn't, you have to say good bye and deal with not being with him." Brian hugged me tightly.

I wasn't sure if he was right or wrong. I hoped with all my heart that he was wrong.
