*The Next Morning*

Nick stood outside Ali's old house. He didn't even get to know the girls name that let him in yesterday. He had to find out who she was. His hand raised slowly and knocked softly on the door.

"Hey Nick. You ready to come in?"

"Um, I'm sorry. You know my name, but I dont know yours."

"Oh...um, I thought I told you my name yesterday," she squinched her face confused.

"I must've forgot. Does is start with an E?"

"Um, sure. Yeah."

"Ellen maybe?"

"Yeah, you got it."

"Oh...I didn't even know I knew."

"Did you want to come in or just know my name?" she opened her eyes wide and looked at him in his deep blue eyes. He stared at the green tone of her eyes. Yellow flecks and a blue outline surrounded them. Just like how Ali's were.

"Your eyes are really pretty," he blurted out.

"Thanks. C'mon in. It looks like rain out here." Ellen took her hand and pulled him in her house. He looked at her nail polish. Just a light transparent blue. Just like Ali always had. The exact same shade. Nick reached his hand up to her arm and he tried to touch it. It seemed his hand passed through her arm, but next thing he knew, he was holding onto her, "You're awfully friendly," she laughed.

"Sorry. Could I go upstairs?"

"Sure, do anything you want."

"Thanks." And that's the way it was. Everyday Nick could get over there, he would go in Ellen's house and look for and remains of Ali. For a month this went on. He actually grew quite found of Ellen. She seemed much like his first love and he wanted that again. So finally, he built up courage to do what he always wanted.

"Hey Nick. Go ahead on up. You know the way," Ellen smiled.

"Actually, could I talk to you for a second? Like really talk and not about Ali."

"Sure, go ahead."

"Would you care to um, join me tonight at my house for dinner?"

"I'd love to," she smiled warmly.

"Great. Is 8 o'clock okay?"

"Perfect."

"Seeya then." Nick turned his heel and headed back to his car.

*An Hour Later*

"Ali, you know your choices. You can either stay with Nick on Earth and he can never know who you are, you could tell him who you are and both of you will be sent immediately up here to spend eternity with each other, or you can just stay here and be his guardian angel."

"I know this. I have made my choice. He won't know who I am. I've been in contact with him for about a month now and he doesn't know. He never will."

"Very well."

*That Night*

Nick made sure he looked okay on his way to answering the door. It was his very first date since the incident with Ali.

"Just breath," he told himself and sighed. He looked at one of Ali's picture hanging on the wall, "You know I love you more than anything," he smiled. The doorbell rang again. Now remembering what he was doing, he opened the door to see Ellen standing there, "You look...beautiful," he told her.

"Thanks. I actually tried tonight."

"It worked whatever you did," he smiled and took her coat, "So, um...I tried to make dinner earlier...but it didn't work out. You like pizza?"

"Um...you might not believe this, but I dont."

"That's not that hard to believe, Ali never...sorry. I wont bring her up."

"Nick, dont worry. She was a big part of your life. You dont have to let her go."

"Most people tell me to move on and forget her."

"I'm not like anybody else," she smiled.

"I've noticed."

"So...I'm dying to hear about her. C'mon, you gotta spill."

"If you really want to...." he said unsure.

"Of course I do. What do I have to be like to top the other girl in your life?"

"That wont be possible," Nick thought to himself.

All night long Nick did tell about Ali. Everything about her. Ellen wasn't bored once.

*The Next Morning*

"So what were you up to last night?" Brian asked Nick when he finally got a hold of him over the phone.

"I had a date."

"With who?" Brian asked shocked. All the guys were sure nothing would ever let Nick be romantically involved with anyone.

"Her name is Ellen."

"That sounds like Ali's name. You know...Elly, and Ali. Very similar."

"I didn't date her cuz of her name Bri."

"I know that. But does she?"

"Of course!"
