"Sky! You're the girl who we're taking with us!?" Nick exclaimed when Sky got into the back of the car.

"Apparently yes," Sky replied.

"And you cut your lip too?" he asked.

"Yes." Sky said, "How did you cut your lip Nick?"

"Oh, the glass I was drinkin' from was chipped."

"Oh."

"And you?" Nick pressed.

"I actually have no clue. I was just sittin' there talking to my friend when I got this pain in my upper lip. My friend told me I was bleeding, she brought me to the nurse, the nurse told me to go with you people, and here we are."

"Oh, okay."

They didn't talk the whole rest of the way to the hospital. When they finally arrived, they were told they had to wait, because there were people with more serious injuries being treated now.

Sky and Nick sat down, each still holding a cloth to their lip.

"I didn't think I'd be back in a hospital so soon." Nick remarked.

"What do you mean?" Sky asked him, turning around in her chair.

"Well, I broke my leg a little while back, and I just got the cast off two weeks ago."

"Really? I just got the cast removed from MY broken leg two weeks ago also."

A strange feeling crept up Nick's spine. "Sky," he said softly, his blue eyes intense, "Which leg did you break?"

Sky didn't know why, but she had a feeling her answer to this question was very imporant.

"My left," she said, hesitantly.

"Your left," Nick repeated, slowly.

"You broke your left too, didn't you?" Sky asked, as that same look passed over her face. The same look that had intrigued him so much, and almost forced him to go over to her --looking at nothing and everything at the same time.

"Sky, we need to talk." Nick said.

Sky shook her head yes, but before either of them could say another word, a nurse came out and called "Sky Summers, the doctor can now see you."

Sky stood up.

"Wait, Sky--"

"Meet me in the parking lot Nick."

And she was gone.
