I woke up around nine. I took a shower and spent an hour and a half figuring out what to wear. I decided to wear a black mini skirt and a blue halter-top. I couldn't find any jewelry so I just put on my makeup and was downstairs by 11:30.

"Hey. You looked dressed up. You going out with Scott today?"

I hesitated. Maybe I should lie. "Not exactly. I'm going to lunch with a guy I met at the mall yesterday. He's really nice."

"Where are you going?" Wow dad was actually being protective maybe I should give him praise.

"He's picking me up at 12 and we're going out for lunch. I'll be careful."

Nick arrived just on time. He didn't have a hat on or shades. His hair was gelled back with little spikes. I could tell his hair is growing back from a short haircut. He still looked good. He had a baggy pair of jeans and a jersey on. Maybe I'm a little over dressed. But he didn't seem to mind.

"Hey Jenn. You look nice." He was smiling the most adorable smile.

"Thanks. You do too." I handed him his wallet. He didn't even check if anything was missing. He just shoved it into his back pocket.

"You ready to eat? I'm starving."

"Sure." We walked over to his Durango parked in the driveway. He opened the door to let me in. He was a real gentlemen.

When we were driving Nick and I talked about how I got to be from North Carolina to Florida. We talked about music too. I never gave away that I knew about him being in the Backstreet Boys. He kept looking at me amazed. I was about to just say all that I knew but that wouldn't be fun. I wanted to tell him but I felt comfortable around him as if I knew him for a long time.

We arrived at the café Scott and I went to just yesterday. I really liked the café so I'm not complaining.

"Back again miss? And with a different guy? Aren't we busy." said the owner of the store who was also the waiter.

My life can't get any worse. Then Scott came walking down the street. Oh no. I spoke too soon. "I have to use the restroom. I'll be right back." I darted out of view into the café's ladies room. What am I going to do? I'll be out in a sec. Scott should be gone by then.

I walked out to the table but I stopped because Nick and Scott were talking! I overheard Nick say he was with a nice girl but he didn't know how to tell his girlfriend he was with another girl. He said he liked me. And that he would like to get to know me. Then I heard Scott say he had a next-door neighbor who he was interested in. Wait, if Nick knows Scott he should know where Scott lives and be able to tell that I was the next-door neighbor. But thankfully neither one figured anything out because soon Scott said bye and I walked out.

"Who were you talking to?" I had to at least play along.

"An old friend. You might know him his name is Scott. He said he met his next-door neighbor's daughter a couple of days ago and that he's really interested in her. He's always falling in love. But do you know who he's talking about because you live next door to him."

Great my cover was blown. Might as well act stupid. "Yeah I know Scott. I met him a couple of days ago. He's nice. But he's not exactly my type. I enjoy him to hang out with him."

"It seems like Scott likes you a lot. You should give him a chance."

"I did. Last night but I rather hang out with him then go out with him. I also have a boyfriend back in North Carolina."

"You do?!" I was actually surprised by his reaction. He seemed like he wanted to get to know me but he had a girlfriend. I guess he thinks that I shouldn't be allowed a boyfriend. Guys can be pigs.

I tried to act like I didn't hear the surprise in his voice. "Yeah. He's in North Carolina right now. We were supposed to spend the summer together but I had to come to Florida." He seemed to calm down when I said he was in North Carolina I guessed he figured he still had a chance. I would never cheat on anybody or go out with anyone who had a girlfriend. "Do you have a girlfriend?"

"Yeah. She's cool. I guess. A little annoying. But I love her." He seemed kinda of nervous about what to say about her.

We ordered our food and continued talking about some stuff, I don't quite recall. We finished our meals in about an hour.

"You know you have room for dessert." Nick looked at me and smiled.

"I don't know I'm not hungry anymore. I'm full." He just smiled again. He ordered two hot fudge sundaes. They came about five minutes later. I had to admit I loved the sundae.

We left after we finished. He drove me home. We sat in the car for a few minutes. "Can I call you tonight?"

"Yeah. I have to go my Dad wants to have dinner together. Bye." Please call. I wanted to kiss him right there but I left because it would have happened if I stayed longer. He waited until I was inside before he pulled away. I saw Dad in front of the TV set and he barely looked up at me. Fine then don't say anything. I just went into my room and started taking down the posters. Every other one was BSB. I stopped and looked at the picture trying to figure out what name belong to which person but I don't think I ever got one right. The phone began to ring when I took down the last poster.
