Author's note: this is being told by nick's point of view
I stood by my mom watching my best friend, tiffany, being lower into the ground.
"Mom," I said softly
" Yeah, sweetie."
"Is she really gone?"
Jane nodded allowing the tears to fall. Tiff was like another daughter to her.
"Nick, before tiff died she wanted me to give you this," said nick's sister, Bj handing him a slip of paper. Nick took it with shaking hands. He slowly unfold the note and founded her half of the friendship necklace and a note.
The note said:
Hey kaos(nick)
I just want to say bye, and begging you not to blame this on yourself. it's not your fault for what I have to do. nick, thanks for being a friend and always being there for me. I love you, tiffany.
Nick let the note fall from his hands.
"Nick, are you ok?" asked Bj with her red eyes.
"This is so hard. what drove her to this?"
"Nick, you don't know?"
"Know what?"
"What drove her to this?"
"No."
"I don't know if I should tell you."
"Bj, please."
"Ok, fine. her parents got divorced, and she founded out that her boyfriend cheated on her while she was away in Europe, and she felt like nobody really care about her feeling."
"why didn't she come and talk to me?"
"Nick, you were on road. you had no idea about this?"
"no."
Later that night in my room, I felt a presence beside me.
"Nick," said tiff softly.
I turned around.
"Hi, tiff."
"Nick, I didn't get to say a proper goodbye."
"Tiff, I'm sorry that I wasn't there to listen to your problems."
"Nick, it's not your fault that you're on the road."
"I know, but it feels weird."
"Nick, I gotta go, but before I go, can I ask you a something?"
"Yeah what?"
"That you'll promise me something."
"Ok, what?"
"that you'll be strong for me. promise me that?"
"Yeah, I promise."
"Ok ,bye."
Tiff disappear.
"Angels Stands by," was the the last thing she said.
Ending
I knew that tiff was watching me from heaven. I moved on with my life, and I kept my promise to her. I was strong for her, and the other guys helped me get over her loss. my brother and sisters also moved on with their life, but I know that they missed tiff more then I do. she was always like a second sister to them, and she was also the ones that they could tell their problems to.
