"I’ll be back later." Lysa called as she left her new home. She drove down the winding street and soon found AJ’s house. She pulled up to the curb, jumped out, and practically ran to the door. She calmed herself down, and then knocked on the door. A medium sized woman with light red hair opened the door. "Hello." She said, looking at Lysa as if she recognized her. "Hi. Is AJ home?" Lysa asked. "Lysa? The much talked about Lysa?" Denise said. "Yes. I’m Lysa." She said smiling. "It’s nice to finally meet the girl my son is always talking about, but I’m sorry, AJ’s down in Florida. You can come in if you want to though." Denise offered. "Oh. Yea I’ll come in. Just for a minute." Lysa said, slightly disappointed, "So why is AJ in Florida?" she asked. "He and his friends are working on an album...Howie called last night and said that they just had to finish one song, then the first single would be released, AJ left about an hour ago…" Denise explained, "Would you like something to drink?" she asked. "No…thank you…an hour ago? I just missed him. Do you have an address where I could reach him…" Lysa asked. "Yea...he’s staying with Nick’s family, they moved to Orlando…I guess that’s what I’ll be doing soon…" Denise said. "Oh, Nick told me he moved, he just didn’t say where…how long have they been working about this?" Lysa asked. "About 3 months…AJ wanted you to know…he said you suggested that they form a group…" Denise said. "Yea…at camp last summer." Lysa said. "It was supposed to be a surprise for you girls, you and Francesca…so they kept it secret...do you think he’s gonna be mad at me for telling?" Denise asked. "No…I don’t think so…actually I had a surprise for him too…" Lysa said. "Really? What are the odds? Am I allowed to know?" Denise asked. "Yea…since I’m your new neighbor…my family moved down the street." Lysa said with a smile. "That’s great…" Denise said, knowing that she’d be moving to Florida soon. "It’d be better if you guys were staying in Erie though…well that’s life. Right?" Lysa said. "Yes, it is." Denise answered. "So they’ve been working on it for 3 months…well thanks for telling me…I should go now." Lysa said, making her way to the door. "AJ really loves you." Denise said. "I really love him too." Lysa said, turning back around to face AJ’s mother. Denise showed her out, "I wish I could tell you when he’ll be home…but I don’t know." she said, as Lysa walked out to the street. "It’s ok…I’ll get to him somehow." she said, as she got in her car.
"You’re back already? You’ve been talking about AJ forever and now that you’re here with him, you leave him…" Lysa’s older brother said with a confused look on his face. "AJ moved…well not permanently…yet…" Lysa said. "Aww…sucks to be you…" he said. "Shove it Brett." Lysa said, going upstairs to her new room. She started unpacking her boxes that had little things in them. "I know my phone is in here somewhere…here we go…now where is the jack?" Lysa said, looking around her room. She found it and plugged her phone in. "Oh goodie the lines are already working." Lysa said, when she got a dial tone. She dialed Francesca’s number and waited while it rang, when she realized that there was a three hour time difference. "Crap…what time is it there…" she said, looking at her watch, "3 here…12 there…she should be up…" she said as she continued to wait for Francesca to pick up the phone.
"Hello?" Francesca answered. "Hi Fran! Guess where I am?" Lysa said. "Um…far away from here…I hope…" Francesca teased. "Well, you’re right…" Lysa said, pausing to listen, "Are you eating?" Lysa asked, feeling bad for interrupting her. "Yea…but I’m almost done…" Francesca said. "Ok…well guess what…I know why Nick hadn’t called for 3 months!" Lysa said excitedly. "You talked to him? Don’t tell me he called you before me." Francesca said. "No…well he talked to me online…he said he moved…that’s why his number was changed…cuz it didn’t exist anymore…" Lysa explained. "Oh…" Francesca replied. "But wait, there’s more…they are making an album…the boys…they’re doing it…they’ve been working on it for 3 months…so that’s what Nick was doing…it was supposed to be a surprise…so when I was talking to him online and he said that he just was busy and forgot to tell you about him moving and getting a new number, it was because he didn’t want to ruin the surprise!" Lysa said, super fast. "Whoa girl slow down!" Francesca joked, "So…that’s what his ignoring me was for…I don’t know if I buy it…" Francesca said. "Why are you so skeptical…I think it’s sweet…he wanted to surprise you…maybe you don’t deserve Nick." Lysa said, upset at her friends attitude. "Hey you’re with your man…don’t give me crap…" Francesca said. "Well I haven’t seen him since last summer…same as you and Nick…so don’t give ME crap." Lysa said. "What? I thought you lived down the street from him now…you mean you haven’t gone to see him yet?" Francesca asked. "He’s moving to Florida. That’s where he is now. So I’m screwed and stuck in Erie PA…no mans land." Lysa said. "Oh…sorry for being so cold to you…" Francesca apologized. "It’s ok…I think I’m gonna go down there if my dad will let me. But I probably won’t be allowed now that Mom is pregnant…I’ll have to help her…why does she have to be pregnant all the time…I just went through this 5 years ago with Owen." Lysa complained. Francesca laughed. "It’s not funny. You’re the baby, you don’t have to put up with this…" Lysa said, trying to joke about it. "Sorry…" Francesca said. "Well I have to go…gotta finish unpacking…do you believe the whole Nick thing?" Lysa asked. "It seems kinda weird…and I’m still mad that he didn’t call me…" Francesca said. "You need to learn to forgive people for their mistakes, well I’ll talk to ya later…bye…" Lysa said. "See ya Lys."
