“Honey, are you ready to go?” Nick yelled upstairs to his wife who had been in the bathroom for the past hour.
“Just a minute! Call Brian and tell him we’re on our way!” Kelly shouted back to her husband. She quickly brushed her teeth and applied lipgloss with a slight hint of watermelon flavor. Taking a last glance at herself in the mirror, she swung the bathroom door open and bounded down the stairs.
“Aight man, see ya in a few. Bye,” Nick said, hanging up the telephone. He turned around to find his wife leaning over the coffee table in the living room stuffing her keys and lipgloss into her purse. Nick strutted over behind her quietly and wrapped his arms around her waist. Kelly jumped slightly at his sudden touch, but immediately relaxed into his strong arms. Nick leaned over and nibbled her ear gently, then his lips wandered to her shiny pink lips.
“Mmm,” Nick made a pleased sound and grinned releasing his wife so they could be on their way.
Kelly just giggled at her husband’s expression and walked out to their jeep. About fifteen minutes later the couple arrived at Brian and Ang’s massive home.
“There sure are a lot of cars here!” Nick pointed out, looking around Brian’s brick circular driveway.
“Yeah. It thought it was just going to be us. I hope I’m dressed all right,” Kelly replied, looking at her ensemble.
“You look great! C’mon,” Nick reassured his wife. He gave her a reassuring kiss on the cheek and led her to the door.
Nick rang the doorbell and after a few minutes Ang and Brian opened the door. Brian’s arm was wrapped lovingly around his wife’s waist, while his other hand was stuffed in his pocket.
“Hey! I’m so glad you came!” Ang exclaimed reaching over to embrace her best friend. The two couples said their hellos and the Littrells led the Carters to the living room.
Ang flipped on the light switch and all of a sudden shout of “Happy Anniversary” were heard as heads popped out from behind the furniture. Nick and Kelly were so shocked that they couldn’t say anything. The couple stood there with their mouths hanging open in surprise. After a few minutes, Kelly and Nick went around to greet all of the guests.
The rest of the Backstreet Boys made their appearance with their significant others at the surprise anniversary party. AJ had come and brought his present girlfriend, Lisa, with him. Kevin and his new bride, Michelle, had come. Howie and his newly engaged fiance, Tracy, had come for the celebration as well.
Kelly snuck away from the commotion in the living room in search of Ang and Brian. After a few minutes of searching, she finally spotted the couple preparing food in the kitchen.
Oblivious to everyone else, Brian and Ang were engrossed in their conversation.
“Did you see the look on their faces?!” Ang gushed referring to the Carters.
“Yeah!” Brian laughed. “I guess it’s safte to say that they like their anniversary present, huh?”
“Yes, it is!” Kelly intervened smiling. “Thank you both so much!” Kelly leaned over to embrace Brian and Ang.
“You’re very welcome sweetie!” Ang exclaimed, her green eyes glistening.
“I know how much this means to Nick to be able to see all of the guys again. I just wanted to say thanks,” Kelly smiled sincerely.
“It was our pleasure, Kel,” Brian returned her infectious smile.
Ang carried a tray of champagne and Brian carried a tray of orderves into the living room to serve their guests.
