There was 30 seconds left in the game. The Blue Devils only needed one more point to win the championship. ‘He’s such a ball hog.’ Brian thought to himself, as he and the other team members watched Justin dribble the ball down the court in the final seconds of the game. ‘I mean he’s a great basketball player…but did he ever hear of teamwork?’ 10…9…8. Time was running out. ‘Come on just shoot the basket…stop showing off!’ Brian thought, as Justin dribbled the ball around at the other end of the court. 5…4…3. Justin shot the ball, and the crowd roared as the ball went in. The whole team went to the middle of the court, hoisting Justin on their shoulders.
"Baby, you won!" Gabrielle said, running over to Brian. "Well it’s more like Justin won." Brian said, taking his girlfriend of 3 years in his arms. Gabrielle is 5’5", with long auburn hair and hazel eyes, and is a cheerleader for the Blue Devils. "The team won, and you are part of the team baby" Gabrielle said. "But I don’t feel like I am anymore…not since he came" Brian confessed. "You’re just jealous of him" she replied. "I know I am…ever since he transferred to Duke…everyone has lost interest in me…you know I used to be the star player" he sulked. "I know sweetie…but what are you going to do…work harder and be better than he is…show the coach what your made of…" she told him. "Yea…I guess" Brian replied. "Come on…let’s go get ready for the party" Gabrielle said. "I don’t wanna go…its too much commotion" Brian said. "Come on Bri, it’ll be fun" Gabrielle said, trying to convince him to go. He looked at her with disgust. "Or we can go back to your place…either one is fine with me" she said smiling. "You can go if you want to" he told her, as he walked to the locker room. "I don’t want you to be mad at me Brian…I love you" she said from the end of the hallway. "I love you too Gab…I just don’t want to go out…I’d rather spend some quality time with you" he said, turning around to face her as he continued down the hall backwards. "You’re so sweet Bri, I’ll meet you at your car" she said, going towards the cheerleaders locker room. As she turned the corner she found Justin and Becky standing outside the door. "You two going to the party?" Gaby asked as she passed them. "Yup" Becky responded. Becky is Gaby’s best friend, and also Justin’s girlfriend. She’s 5’7’’ with blonde shoulder length hair, and brown eyes and she also is a cheerleader for the Blue Devils. "Have fun" Gaby told them as she went into the locker room.
When Gaby went into the locker room she found Meghan primping in front of the mirror. "Oh Gaby, is Justin still out there?" she asked as she did her hair. Meghan is 5’6", with shoulder length brown hair and blue eyes. "Yea…why?" Gaby asked, going over to her locker to get her shampoo. "Just wanna tease him…" Meghan continued, fixing her top so a little more cleavage would show. "You know that he’s going out with Becky, so why do you even try?" Gaby said. "Cause it’s fun…I’m gonna get him someday…" Meghan said in a determined voice. "Sure you are…you know that nothing is gonna split those two up…" Gaby said. "But I can dream" Meghan pouted. "Well go and flirt with him, I don’t care…as long as it’s not Brian…" Gaby said, giving her a look of warning before going off to the showers. "I won’t Gab! Don’t worry, your man is safe!" Meg shouted after her, as she walked out the door to find Justin and Becky all over each other. ‘Damn, how am I supposed to flirt with him when they are always together?" Meghan asked herself as she walked down the hall.
"Bri!" Meg shouted as she turned the corner and saw Brian coming out of the guys locker room. "Hey Meg! Is Gabs still in there?" Brian asked. "Yea she was just getting into the showers when I left…she shouldn’t be too long" she told him with a smile, as they walked out to the parking lot. "Alright, cool." Brian responded. "Are you guys going to the party?" she questioned. "Nope" he answered. "Aww, why not?" Meg asked with a questioning look on her face. "It’s too much of a commotion…" Brian replied, "…over Justin" he continued, under his breath, "You’re going I guess?" he said. "Yea…" she answered. "Well have fun" he said, as he walked to his car and Meghan walked to hers.
Fifteen minutes later Gabrielle came out to Brian’s car. She got in and gave him a kiss. "Thank you" Brian said. "For what?" she asked smiling. "Kissing me" he replied as he pulled out of the parking lot. "I like to kiss you" Gaby confessed. "I like to kiss you too" he said, taking his eyes off of the road for a second to look at her. "What?" she asked "What? What?" Brian responded "What are you looking at me for?" Gaby asked. "What, now I’m not allowed to look?" Brian asked, turning back to the road. "No, you can look, you can even touch…" she replied, putting her hand on his leg. Brian smiled and began driving a little faster.
