Celebrate

Start here for listings of current events and North Carolina Fun Spots in our very own backyard.

There is much to see in our own backyard.  Every time I find a place of interest for an Assembly social gathering or special event, I will post information about it right here.

The Fiddler's Cove - Liberty, North Carolina

June 28th is "Salute to the American Veteran" Night.

Dinner and show is free to service members, past and present.  Just take your veteran's ID card or military ID to confirm status.

The Randolph County Honor Guard will perform.

Many raffle items.  Start the weekend right.

If you were not there with us for our April social, you missed the event of the year.  A solid value and truly a family event.  We had 30 people there and everyone had a great time.  Put this on your list of places to visit any Saturday night.  If it is just you and a few others, just show up.  You can get in as early as 4:30 p.m. and just have dinner.  Stay for the show that starts at  6:30 and goes on 'til 9 p.m.

This is a little different from what we have ever done before with the Assembly.  Take your kids of all ages.  It is a great place to feed and entertain out of towners!

The Knights are about FAMILY.  Get there early for a real Hootin' and Holler'n' and toe stomping time.  There is a 1000 sq ft dance floor that kids love!

Here's the deal...  Arrive at 6 p.m. for a "cafeteria country-style dinner."  That means that you get to eat things that are not on your doctor's preferred diet guide.  Cost is $8 per person and includes a live show afterwards.  Some of our Assembly members have already visited this site and they brought it to our attention as a family/social event site.

Menu:  Country Fried Steak and gravy, Chicken Tenders and Barbecue.  Ten vegetables, house salad, bread and beverage.  Kids under six are $6.  Remember that this is a jamboree kind of thing.  Kids of all ages are sure to enjoy it.

These fine folk will cook for as many was you can bring.  Call any Monday to Friday night between 8 and 10 p.m. for reservations.  Call (336) 622-4000

You get there by getting on NC 49 and heading toward Liberty.  You can't miss it as you enter town.

From Burlington:  arrive on NC 49 (which turns left at the first light...but you continue through the light).  At the second  red light (one block, Raleigh Street), you turn LEFT.  If you cross the railroad tracks you have gone too far.  You turn left just  before the railroad tracks.  Note the Seaboard Lines Railroad Museum car on the left.

Go one half block and you will see the Fiddler's Cove inside the parking lot at 118 Raleigh Street. (It is only about 50' from the light).  It is hidden by a building.  Go too far and you will miss it!  Parking is free and on the theater property.  If you just have to see a map,  just click here on the Liberty map!

You can also safely park on the adjacent streets.
