Remember
guys - get your Supreme forms for the rest of the calendar year from the
outgoing officers. The assembly forms are sent by Supreme at the end of the
calendar year, not in July like the councils. Your audit and report of
officer’s forms are overdue. If you
do not have them, they are on the K of C website. If you do not send them in,
you will not be recognized by Supreme.
I hope
your holidays were happy and fulfilling. We are starting a new calendar year,
let’s have a good one!
The
exemplification in 2004 will be on October 9 at the Sheraton Imperial, Research
Triangle Park. Details will follow in future newsletters. The room price is
$94++ per night, which includes their buffet breakfast for 2.
Due to
circumstances within my control, the date of the official biennial meeting has
been changed. Please note. The official biennial meeting will be held on April 3 at the Raleigh Columbus Club from 11am to
3pm. A light lunch will be served. Please reserve this new date. Directions to
the Club will be given in next month’s newsletter.
The
official meeting shall be composed of the Faithful Navigator of each Assembly
plus one delegate for each one hundred members or major fraction thereof of each
assembly. The delegates shall be elected by ballot at the February meeting of
each assembly. Prior notice of the holding of such election meeting must be
given to the members. This means you have to notify the members this month
(January) about the election to be held next month (February). If possible, the
assembly should pick up the cost of the FN and of each delegate. There is no reimbursement
by the Master.
At this
meeting, we will be making recommendations to Supreme for our choice of the next
District Master. We also will be discussing any resolutions or other business at
the meeting. If you have any resolutions to submit, please send a written copy
to me a week before the meeting. If you have any new business to bring up,
please have several copies with you when you come to the meetings. This will
speed up the meeting.
