Sweet Club Sandwich

2 8 oz. tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
2 tablespoons butter or margarine -- melted
4 tablespoons honey -- divided
6 ounces thinly sliced deli turkey
6 ounces sliced muenster or Monterrey Jack Cheese
6 ounces thinly sliced deli ham
1/3 cup raspberry preserves


Unroll each tube of crescent roll dough into 2 rectangles. Place 2 inches
apart on ungreased baking sheets; press perforations to seal. In a small
bowl, combine butter and 2 tablespoons of honey. Brush over dough. Bake at
375 for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on pans for 15 minutes.
Carefully transfer one crust to a greased 15x10 inch baking pan. Layer with
turkey, second crust, cheese and ham. Add third crust; spread with
preserves. Top with remaining crust; spread with remaining honey. Bake,
uncovered, at 375 for 10-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and loaf
is heated through. Carefully cut into slices.

Southwestern Club Sandwich

4 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 large garlic clove -- pressed
1 small jalapeno chili -- minced
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
6 slices hickory-smoked bacon
4 slices sourdough bread
8 thin slices smoked turkey -- (about 4 ounces)
4 large tomato slices
1/2 avocado -- pitted, peeled,sliced
Romaine lettuce leaves


Mix first 5 ingredients in small bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready
to use.

Cook bacon in heavy large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Transfer
to paper towels and drain.

Toast bread. Spread mayonnaise mixture evenly over bread slices.

Cover 2 bread slices with turkey, then tomato, avocado and bacon. Season
generously with salt and pepper. Top with lettuce and remaining bread
slices.

Cut diagonally into quarters. Skewer each with frilly toothpick if
desired and serve.

Makes 8 snack size servings or 2 sandwiches.
