Graham Squares

1 stick margarine
1 egg, beaten
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup sweet milk
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
Topping:
1/4 cup melted margarine
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tbsp. milk (use more if needed)
1 tsp. vanilla


Line a 9 x 13 inch pan with whole graham crackers. In saucepan melt
margarine. In a bowl, mix egg, sugar, and milk together; add to melted
margarine. Bring to a full boil and boil 1 minute. Stir in coconut, nuts, and
graham cracker crumbs; spoon over whole graham crackers and top with a layer
of whole graham crackers. Mix topping ingredients together until smooth and
spreading consistency; spread over top of graham crackers. Let cool and cut
into squares.
Makes about 24.
