Oriental Mushroom Soup

      Yield: 4 servings


      1 tb margarine or butter
      4 c  sliced mushrooms
      1    clove garlic; minced
      3 c  water
13 3/4 oz chicken broth
    1/2 c  sliced green onions
  6 1/8 oz pk rice-a-roni with 1/3 less
           - Salt Fried Rice
      1 tb soy sauce
      1    to 2 tb lemon juice


In 3-qt saucepan, melt margarine over medium heat. Add
mushrooms and garlic; saute 3 to 4 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Add water, broth, onions, rice mix and
seasoning packet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer
15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring
occasionally. Stir in soy sauce and lemon juice; heat
through. Additional water may be added if soup
thickens upon standing.
