Peanut Butter Kisses

Makes 3 dozen cookies


2 egg whites
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter


1. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar with mixer until mixture holds stiff peaks.
2. Add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition.
3. Beat until mixture holds very stiff peaks.
4. Lightly fold in peanut butter just until mixed.
5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
6. Bake at 300° for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
7. Remove from cookie sheet immediately.
