WITCHES BREW AND BROOMSTICKS

WITCHES BROOMSTICKS
makes 8
8 gumdrop orange slices
8 cinnamon sticks, each about 5 inches long
2 black licorice whips or laces
Sprinkle surface lightly with sugar.
Roll gumdrops slices into triangles with rolling pin on sugared surface.
With wet scissors, snip bottom of triangles to look like broom bristles.
For each broomstick, wrap narrow end of triangle around cinnamon stick to
make broom.
Tie in place with short piece of licorice whip or lace.
Set aside to make the witches brew.
WITCHES BREW
makes 8, 6oz servings
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup red cinnamon candies
6 cups milk
1/2 cup chocolate drink mix
Over medium high heat in a saucepan bring the water and cinnamon candies to
a boil, stirring until candies melt.
Add milk and whisk in drink mix.
Bring to a simmer over medium high heat.
Pour into mugs and serve with witches broomsticks.
