Mother Mary is a unique Goddess. She is not even recognized as being divine,
by the multitudes who worship her son. Thus, She is both the most recognized Goddess, and the least honored.

Mary has many different guises, including Our Lady of the Roses, Our Lady of Sorrows,
Queen of Heaven, Star of the Seas, and many other titles.
One of my favorite is the 'Untier of Knots' where She is seen as a 'problem solver' a 'fixer.' I painted Our Lady untier of Knots based on the famous one
by Schmidtner circa 1700, that is Pope Francis's favorite Mary Painting.
She is a Goddess of maternal sacrifice, therefore. She gives everything of Herself, even Her deserved divinity over to Her children.
She is a Goddess of women, children, and anyone in need.
Mary holds many titles, that were always given to "The Goddess" among pre-Christian cultures: Mother of God, Our Lady, Blessed Mother, and so on.
She has thousands of churches dedicated to Her, even more than 'her son' Jesus or any other saint.
There are any millions of people addressing their prayers to Her, and yet, She is not "worshiped" by them, they claim.
It is a sad end for a Goddess who has bothered to appear to her followers are Lourdes and Fatima and Guadalupe and Zeitoun and so many other holy sites.
