Chapter 13 - Here Come The Bride

 ***A year later***

Time pasted and today is the day for great joy, as Brian and Leighanne are getting married.

Leighanne was wearing a beautiful white long sleeved dress, while Katie wore a blue dress, as she was chosen to be one of the bride’s maids.

“I can’t do this!”

Leighanne was pacing around the room. While for Katie, she was trying to calm her down.

“Leighanne. Of course you can do this. You and Brian, have been spent ages planing for this day…and I’m not gonna let you throw it away.” Katie said.

Leighanne signed. “Kate…”

“Well then, do you love Brian?”

Leighanne stopped pacing and tuned to face her.

“Of course I do. I love him more than anything in this world.”

Katie smiled. “Well then, if you can say that then, you can get through today.”

Leighanne started to grin. “Thanks Kate.” She hugged her.

The door opened, as a person ran in the room.

“I’m sorry about coming late. There was a big car jam and I was stuck in it for ages. Leighanne, I’m just so sorry.” Casey said.

“Case, it’s okay. As long as you’re here then I’m happy.”

Leighanne and Casey hugged each other.

“Wow, look at you Leighanne. You look great.” Casey said.

“Thanks.”

Katie looked at her watch.

“Umm…hey, sorry to break up this thing that you guys have right now but, it’s time to go.”

“Oh yeah. Casey, I want you to meet Katie. Kate, I want you to meet Casey.”

Casey and Katie shook hands and said their hellos to each other.

“Casey and I have been friends since High School.”

“Cool. So, you two are like, really close friends then.”

“Yep.” Casey answered.

“Well, we better get going. We don’t want the beautiful bride to be late, do we now?” Katie joked.

“That’s true.”

Katie and Casey started to laugh.

“Well then, what are you two waiting for? You don’t want the beautiful bride to be late.” Leighanne joked.

“No, we defiantly don’t.” Casey said.

The three of them started to make their way out of Leighanne’s house.

***Meanwhile***

“Dam it Brian, sit down and relax!” Nick shouted.

Brian was stressing about all the bad things that might happen today at the wedding and while for Nick, he was starting to get a headache.

“Sit down and relax!?! Nick, this should be the happiest day of my life! But instead I’m panicking.” Brian started to take some deep breath in and out.

“Man, you are stress.”

Brian just stared at Nick with a puzzle face.

“What?”

Brian shook his head. “Nothing.”

Nick stood up from the chair and walked towards him.

“Brian, tell me.”

“You know, I just can’t wait until you’re gonna get married.”

Nick took a step back. “What?!?”

“Yeah, you heard me. Right now your telling me to relax but wait until it’s your turn.”

Before Nick could answer back, someone knocked on the door.

“Hey, ya ready B?”

Nick and Brian smiled at each other.

“I’m ready Kev.”

“I hope!” Brian thought.

“Well, we better get goin’. You don’t want everyone to wait.” Nick said.

“That’s true.”

“Come on you two!” Kevin demanded. “Quit talking and lets get goin’.”

“We’ll be out in one moment.” Nick said.

Kevin rolled his eyes and walked away, as Nick and Brian faced each other.

“Well, good luck Brian.” Nick gave his best friend a hug.

“Thanks.”

***At the chapel***

“Do you, Leighanne Wallace, take…”

“This has to be the happiest day of my life.” Brian thought to himself.

He was holding Leighanne’s hands tight, as they stared into each other eyes, grinning.

Katie and Casey were chosen to be the bride’s maids, while Nick, Kevin, Howie and AJ were chosen to be the best man for Brian.

Everyone, who Brian and Leighanne knew, was there. Both there mother’s were crying their eyes out in joy and Tyke was made the ring boy (or should I say ring dog!).

“…And now I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”

As the happy married couple kissed, everyone started to clap as the music came on. After everyone congratulated Brian and Leighanne on their marriage, they exited out of the chapel and they stood in front of the long black limo.

“Come on Leighanne, throw the bouquet!” Casey shouted.

Leighanne smiled. “Okay then, get ready!” She turned around.

All the women gather around the stairs, impatiently.

“Hey Leighanne, wait.” Brian whispered.

“Why?”

“Please...”

She rolled her eyes. “Okay.”

“Thanks.”

He gave her a kiss on the cheek and ran up the stairs.

“Kate, why aren’t you joining in the fun?”

“Me? Nah, I think I’ll just stay here with Nick instead of fighting over a bunch of flowers. But thanks for the offer Brian.”

All the men were standing at the top of the stairs talking.

“Come on Kate, you’ll be missing out on the fun.” Brian looked at Nick. “Nick, you should be telling her to go for it.”

“Well Brian, if she doesn’t want to do then, she doesn’t have to, right?”

Brian shook his head. “Find then. Have it your way.”

Katie and Nick looked at each other and started to giggle.

“Hey Leighanne! You can throw it now!” Brian shouted.

Brian started to walk down the stairs, toward Leighanne.

Once again, all the women started to gather in a group and they were more impatient now.

“Hey, thanks Nick.” Katie said.

“For what?”

“For not making me try to catch that bouquet.”

“Oh. Well then, that’s okay.”

Leighanne turned her back on the women and got ready to throw the bouquet.

“Hey Kate, ya wanna hang out tonight, after this is all over?”

She smiled. “Sure.”

“Here it comes!” Leighanne shouted.

She threw the bouquet high up in the air that it when over the group of women.

“Kate, watch out!” Kevin shouted.

“What?” Katie looked up and one minute she was talking to Nick, the next a bunch flowers was heading straight at her.

“She got it!” Shouted out one of the women from the group.

Katie was shock at what she saw before her eyes.

“Wow… I caught it…”

“Great catch Kate.” Nick hugged her.

“…Thanks Nick.”

The rest of the Backstreet Boys ran up to her.

“Great goin’ Kate.” Aj said.

“Now you have to get married with that bouquet in your hands.” Howie said, joyfully.

Everyone stared at Howie with a shocked expression.

“What?”

“Howie! You’re scaring her. Don’t put those thoughts in her head.” Kevin said, as he shoved him playfully.

“Yeah Howie.” Katie added in. “Don’t put those stuff in my head…anyway, I’m only 18 years old.”

Leighanne and Brian walked up to Katie.

“Great catch!” Leighanne said.

“See, I told you should have join in.” Brian rubbed it in.

“But I’m going to miss you.” Leighanne hugged her. “And you guys too.” She hugged the Backstreet Boys too.

“Have a great trip you guys, and you to Tyke.” Katie said.

Tyke just barked back.

“We will.” Brian said.

After the wedding was over, everyone was at the reception and was having fun dancing, laughing, eating and talking.

Everyone was dancing to a slow song now. Nick was with Katie, Howie was with Sarah, Kevin and AJ was in another room hanging out with some other guys, talking. While for the bride and groom, they were happily dancing outside on the balcony.

“I wish this day could never end.” Leighanne said, as she placed her head on Brian’s shoulders.

He closed his eyes and smiled. “And same with me.”

The stars shinned brightly over them, as they drifted into their own little world, of love and happiness.
