A Nightmare on Elm Street

Summary

A Nightmare on Elm Street starts of when we find a young girl around 15 exploring a boiler room of some sort. Some weird stuff starts happening after that when all of a sudden we see this butt ugly guy with this butt ugly hat and butt ugly black and red shirt thingy. Oh yeah, he has these knives for hands too. Well after the ugly dude starts attacking the young girl she suddenly wakes up screaming. When her mom and this other dude come in and ask her what's wrong she just says that it was just a dream.

Well anyhoo, when her mother leaves town she gets her friends Nancy and Glenn to sleep over cause she is afraid of having another nightmare which apparantly Nancy is having the same nightmares. (weird huh, the plot thickens)Well then this chicks boyfriend decides to crash on there little party. Well she starts dreaming again and before you know it, Freddy Krueger has his first Nightmare attack victom. She was Sliced and Diced by these 5 little knives, all at once. Scary. Well guess who the main suspect in the murder was? C'mon take a guess! It was none other than...the boyfriend!!! So Nancy's father who happens to be a police dude arrests Mr. I'm so Cool and that's the last we see of him cause in Jail Freddy pulls off another one of his amazing Nightmare kills. Of course they think it's a suicide so they can't determine anything yet. So Nancy does some research on Freddy, turns out he was this outcast later to become child murderer so a bunch of parents find away to kill which is why he looks all burned and ugly.

Next comes Glenn, he dies in a messy way blah, blah, blah, and Nancy figures out how to trap good ole Freddy and everything ends up how good and sweet. Or does it...

My Review

There is no doubt in my mind why this movie became so popular. It has a really good plot, good acting and everything else. It's just the character of Freddy, I feel he could be a bit more scary. I always found him more of a comic relief in A Nightmare on Elm Street. Well it's a good movie anyway so dont waste time, go out and rent it.
