"Come on Lisa, hurry up!! Were going to be late." Nick yelled to me.
"Hold on. I'm almost done." I returned.
It was about 4 o 'clock and Nick and I were supposed to be at his house at 5. It takes almost an hour and a half to get there. I was doing last minute packing and Nick was becoming very impatient.
"Okay Nick." I said while grabbing my purse and joining Nick out in the hall.
"Lisa, were only going for the weekend." Nick said noticing my 2 large bags.
"I know."
"Then why do you have so many things?"
" Because I feel like it."
"Ooook."
We threw our stuff into the trunk and took off. The whole way there I couldn't stop talking about the wedding.
"Lisa, calm down."
"What? I'm just so excited."
"Your excited for the both of us." Nick laughed.
"Is that so wrong?"
"No."
"All right then."
We pulled up the driveway and before Nick even turned off the car I was already at the front door.
"Man, that girl is a little too happy." he whispered to himself.
I knocked on the door to have it answered by Nick's mom.
"Hi Lisa. How are you?" she asked while giving me a hug.
"I'm just fine, how about yourself?"
"Oh, I'm doing really good."
"Hi mom," Nick said.
"Hi honey."
After all the hello's and hugs Nick and I grabbed our things from the car and put them away inside. I was going to sleep in the guest room. I think Nick was a little upset about that. He wanted me in his room.
"It's only for the weekend Nick." I told him.
"That's a long time though."
"You'll get over it."
"Nope."
"Your such a baby."
"But you love me anyway."
"Sure do."
We were kissing until we were interrupted by his dad at the door.
"Time for dinner guys." he said walking out of the room a little embarrassed.
We just laughed and headed downstairs to join everyone. During dinner we talked about the wedding. Everyone was so happy for us.
"So Lisa, did you tell your parents about the wedding yet?" Jane asked me.
" Umm.....yeah I did. She wasn't too happy about it." I said a little upset about it.
"Oh I'm sorry."
"That's all right she's just stubborn. Excuse me." I got up from the table and headed upstairs.
"Was it something I said?" Jane questioned.
"No mom, it's just when she told her mom she screamed at Lisa. She's still upset about it. I'm going to see if she's all right."
"Poor girl."
I heard footsteps come into my room and I know it was my Nick.
"Are you okay sweetie?" He said wrapping me in his arms.
"Yeah. I'm fine. I just wish my mom would understand. It really hurts Nick."
"It's going to be all right Angel."
"I hope so Nick."
"Come on. Let's go get some ice cream before everyone eats it all."
"Okay."
Nick and I went back downstairs. Jane asked me if I was all right and I said yeah. We talked for alittle bit about the wedding which Nick's sisters were really excited about.
"Hey Lisa, you wanna go take a walk on the beach?" Nick asked me.
"Yeah, that'd be nice."
"Mom, were going out for a little while."
"Ok."
Nick took my hand and we walked out the door. Nick's house was right on the beach so we didn't have to walk far to get there.
"Are you having fun?" said Nick.
"Yeah. Your family is so great. I just can't wait for this wedding though."
"You're going to make the most beautiful bride Angel."
"And you're going to make the most handsome groom."
"Well, I guess we are going to make one heck of a couple then." Nick said with a laugh.
I suddenly stopped.
"Why'd you stop?"
"It's just so pretty out here tonight and it's so nice."
"Well then. How about we just sit down here?"
Yeah."
We sat down close to each other and Nick wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"I love you so much Nick."
"I love you too."
"I just can't believe we are getting married. I never thought I would get married so young to such a wonderful guy. Hopefully I'm not dreaming all of this."
"Your not dreaming. Everything is real."
After Nick said that we were quiet. We just listened to the waves and watch the sun go down. Everything was perfect, it was the perfect night with the most perfect guy. I didn't want to leave but it was getting late and we didn't want Nick's parents to worry about us. When we got home Nick went up to his room andI stayed downstairs and talked with his sisters. After awhile I decided to go to bed.
"Goodnight." I said to the whole family.
"Goodnight" was everyone's reply.
I walked up the stairs to Nick's room where he was. I knocked at the door.
"Come in." Nick said.
I opened the door to see Nick lying in bed looking up at the ceiling.
"Hi baby." I said.
"Oh hi sweetie. Come here." Nick said patting the spot next to him on the bed.
I walked over there and sat down.
"What were you thinking about?"
"Everything."
"Oh."
"Mostly you."
"I hope all good things."
"Wonderful things. You mean the world to me Lisa."
" Don't make me cry." I said smiling.
Nick smiled at me and wrapped me in his arms.
"Nick, I have to go to bed. I'm not going to leave if I'm like this."
"That was my whole point."
"Your such a dork Nick."
"But a cute dork."
I laughed. "Nick......"
"Fine, you can go off to bed. I'll make a mental note to visit you while your sleeping."
"You better not wake me up. I need my sleep."
"Your such a party poop."
"I didn't know there was a party."
"Go to bed."
"First you don't want me to leave, now you're kicking me out. I see how you are. Goodnight." I leaned over and gave Nick a kiss and got off the bed.
"Goodnight honey."
I walked out of his room and shut the door. My room was down the hall from Nick's. I went in and shut the door. I un-made the bed and hopped in, turning the lamp off next to me. I feel asleep thinking of Nick.
