CHAPTER SEVEN

*2 Months later*

Over the last 2 months Nick and I were really busy. We planned our wedding, shopped for dresses and tuxes, and picked a day. It took Nick and I forever to choose the right day. Finally, after hours of flipping through calendars, we decided to get married on January 1st. The start of a new year and the start of Nick and I as a married couple. Heather was coming down from Maine in early December to help with the wedding. We all had break then so it all works out great. I've talked to my mom and dad about this wedding. My mom says she's happy for me, but she still doesn't agree with it. My dad on the other hand was so ecstatic. He couldn't wait to walk me down the aisle. Nick and I were spending Thanksgiving with my family since over the holiday break, I was staying with his family. We thought that would be fair. Anyway, it was November 18th and I was over at Nick's.

"You ready to go back home in a few days?" he asked me.

"Yeah, but it's going to be weird, ya know?"

"A little, and we have to sleep in separate rooms again too. It's not like were going to do anything."

"If I know my parents as well as I think I do, then they are going to think that we are."

"How about I sneak into your room when everyone is sleeping?" he said while jumping on the bed next to me.

"Be my guest. Hopefully you'll still be living the next morning after my parents find out you slept in the same room as me."

"How would they find out? I would sneak back into my room before they wake up."

"I have 2 words for you nick- little brother."

"Oh yeah."

I laughed. Finals were coming up and Nick was helping me study. How sweet is that? It was so late at night and I was so tired.

"I think I got everything covered. I'm tired. Do you mind if I crash here tonight?"

"No, not at all. I mean, you have been sleeping in my room for the past few months so it's not like I mind." he said with a smile.

I smiled and covered myself up with the covers. Nick came under and drew me closer to him, wrapping his arms around me. I smiled at the thought that Nick and I were going to be married in about a month. Life is so good.
