Chapter Two

Over the next couple of days, Nick and Amanda avoided each other as much as they could. Whether it was staying in while the other one was outside or just waiting for them to leave to go outside. They couldn't stand each other. Brian was flying in from Florida today and Nick was hoping Amanda wouldn't be around when he was here.

Nick wrote on a piece of paper, Make sure you aren't here tonight. My friend is coming in from Florida and I want to make sure he doesn't want to leave after seeing you. He walked over to Amanda's house and taped it onto her front door. He rang the doorbell and then ran back to his house before Amanda answered. She opened the door to see no one there and was about to close the door when she seen the piece of paper on the door. She ripped it off and walked inside. When she was in the kitchen, she read it. Frustrated, she took a piece of paper out of the drawer, and wrote nice and big on it, WHY DON"T YOU JUST LEAVE!!!!???? She waited till Nick went off to the airport to get Brian before walking over to his house and taping it onto his door. About 45 minutes later Nick returned back to his place with Brian to see the paper on his door. He didn't even read it but instead ripped it off the door and tossing it into his garbage can. Brian was puzzled by the gesture so he went into the garbage and retrieved the note. Opening it up he was confused.

"Nick what is this?"

"That dumb neighbor of mine probably did it. I don't even know what it says cuz I couldn't care less."

"It says, Why don't you just leave?" Brian read off of the paper.

"What a reject."

Brian knew that Nick wasn't going to give him any more information about this so he just dropped the subject. Nick and him played video games for a couple of hours, each of them winning numerous amount of times. Next door at Amanda's house was pretty quiet. She seen Brian go into the house with Nick so she knew he was there. She didn't really care for him all the much but she wasn't going to be rude to him since he hasn't done anything to her, yet. Nick on the other hand, she couldn't stand. She hated the guy as much as she possibly could. The feeling was mutual too, Nick couldn't stand her.

Brian stayed over there a couple of days. She's seen him outside, but Nick was with him so she didn't even want to go outside. They avoided each other for a couple more days until Brian left. Then Nick walked over to Amanda's house and knocked abruptly on the door. She answered the door which was quickly followed by slamming it. Nick knocked again even though he knew she wasn't going to answer it. He wiggled the door knob and it pushed open the door letting himself in.

"Get out of my house!!!! "Amanda hollered.

"No." Nick declared.

"What you just did was breaking and entering because I never told you, you could come on!! I'm going to call the cops!!!!" Amanda voiced while leaving the room to get the phone.

"No you won't. They'll come and see it's me and won't do anything about it anyway so you might as well listen what I have to say."

"You have 3 seconds to speak before I kick you out."

"Why did you write that dumb note and tape it to my door?"

"You did the same thing only first!!!!"

"Oh that's mature...he did it first!"

"If you would've left me alone from the start then none of this would've ever happened."

"Excuse me if I was being nice!!!!"

"Nice!? All you wanted to do was show me that you are the Nick Carter."

"Whatever."

"Yeah Nick whatever. NOW GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!!!"

Nick shot her an evil look and walked out of the front door. Amanda went to her room and picked up the phone. She dialed Chris's number in Denver and waited for him to pick up the phone.

"Hello?" he spoke through the reciever.

"Hey it's me!"

"Hey Mandy! How's L.A.? You miss me?" he joked.

"It's horrible and yes of course I miss you!!"

Chris smiled.

"Chris, I can't hear you smile."

"Oh right. Sorry."

"Guess who my neighbor is?"

"Madonna?"

"Close. Nick Carter."

"Bleach boy?"

"Yeah."

Chris laughed while Amanda said, "He is such a jerk. I can't stand him."

"I think someone likes him...."

"Chris, get a life. I do not. The bleach has gone straight to his head."

"Yup, you like him."

"Whatever. All we do is fight and scream at each other."

"I think he likes you too."

"I don't think so." Amanda voiced.

"Ok then."

Amanda and Chris talked a little while longer about him, and Denver and L.A.It was a long distance phone call so they couldn't be on there too long. After they hung up, Amanda went and sat down on her couch. She laid her head down on the pillow and stared at the ceiling.

"What if I do like Nick? No way, I can't. And I know that he doesn't like me. I've never liked him, ever. I know when people fight, a lot of times it's a sign of flirting but this cannot be. And if it is, I have to stop it," Amanda reasoned.
