BOARD MEETING MINUTES
June 3, 2003
Meeting was called to order at 6:45pm at the Ward's house by Cyndi Ward, President. Members in attendance were
Mike Herriman, Teresa Warren, Teresa Sykes, Susan Decker, Terry
Hall, Bill Ward, Todd Schroeder, Kathy Sanders, Beverly Mallard, Ronnie Mallard and Robin Ball. Also in attendance were
Patty Nagy, Bill Siler, and Joe Green. The minutes
were handed out and approved.
TREASURER'S REPORT:
- We have $19,937.08 of which $1850.00 is tournament money. The report
was given by Teresa Warren and approved.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:

- We have not gotten Soltow-Ward, Trader or Trent Olds.
- Player Agent:
- Teresa gave a report of a problem we handled concerning a double
rostered 14U on a 12U team. She also reported about a girl being assaulted
by another girl after a game. A letter will be written to the
parents of the girl who attacked and it will be kept on file. The
letter will state that one more offense and the girl will be asked to
leave Babe Ruth and not be re-admitted.

- This year we have handed out 5 letters of warning.

OLD BUSINESS:
NEW BUSINESS:
- Cyndi gave a speech thanking all of us for our service this trying
year. She also stated that she and Bill have no intention of
maintaining their current positions on the board.
- Tournament News:
- Bill will make copies of the passes for Susan. He has the
colored paper from earlier
- We are giving dinner passes to the Umpires and EMTs
- There will be an officials area with coolers
- We are putting up the gate at the speed bump and it will have a tent
- We want to put the EMT/First Aid tent close to the center, maybe in
the Boy's Concession
- We will have a hand stamp for the daily gate people
- We will make signs for the highway to make getting to the park easier.
- We need kids to run the electronic scoreboards.
- The Maola truck will have Pushups and ice cream
sandwiches. We would like to put the drinks in the truck.
- Pepsi comes Wednesday afternoon.
- We are going to use the barrel coolers to get the drinks cooler
faster.
- We voted to have Gina's pizza in the concession. The 10 slice
pizza will cost us $5.00. We are going to get 6 bagged pizza's at
a time. Voted on and Passed unanimously.
- SnoCone machine will go next to concession by the drain.
- No warming up behind the fields.
- We need to have an assortment of candy bars in the stand.
- The umpires are a 3 man rotation. We will have three umpires on
the field for the 12, 14, and 16 championship games.
- Wade Connor will let us use his pitching machine for the 8U.
- There will be a home run derby opening day and the 18U will run
it. The prize is a T-Shirt. Voted on an passed unanimously.
- The 4 piņatas will be setup at the Manager's meeting.
- We voted (passed unanimously) to give the 1st place team a Team a team
trophy and each member smaller trophies. The 2nd place team will
get a team trophy and medallions for each player.
- The books are ready. Susan has the schedule for the event and
will put in Patty's letter, Cyndi's letter and the brackets.
- We are paying $30.00 per umpire, per game. Joe Green gets
$250.
- Joe will be there the entire event.
- The protest committee is Patty, Joe, Tournament Director, Bill and
probably Cyndi.
- If a team has a protest it needs to be lodged immediately.
- Terry will have the schedule done. We had about 15 minutes of
discussion but it came down to waiting for the Manager's meeting to know
exactly how many teams we will have.
- Teresa will get the uniforms for 8U, 10U and 12U.
- Kathy will get the 18U. She ordered shirts, shorts and
socks. Patty will find a sponsor to cover the cost.
- We will use the drag from the county. We will use and replace
the lime from the county.
- We will have to re-do the fields between each game. Ronnie has a
tractor that we can use.
- Bill Siler will run the bracket board.
- We can use the PA from the county.
- Terry will check on the boy's scoreboards.
- Parking area for volunteers is past the fields. Between the two
boy's fields.
- Wayne Brown has not had an official coaching certification
class. He was voted on and approved to coach the 10U.
- There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:30.
