seconded and passed.

- Fundraising:
- We are going to sell the raffle tickets during the Fall season. We are
going to sell them for a flat $2.00 a piece. A motion was made, seconded
and passed. We will need to count the money the Coaches give when
they turn it in. On Opening Day we did not have enough money to
cover the tickets that were turned in. The ending date for the Fall
league is December 2nd and that is when we will draw the ticket.
- We were told that we could use action shots as a fund raiser for next
year. Far Vista Photography made the offer. We decided to wait
until the next Board to make a decision.
- Equipment:
- We need more of the 19oz bats for the small girls.

Riggs have most of theirs back but we are pushing the 16U for theirs.

OLD BUSINESS
- A change was made to the minutes from July to amend the amount of money that
Cindy wanted to spend on the ads for the Fall Ball. It should have read:
about $800 for a three week period.
- Vicky and the other 16U parents thanked Jerry for his support of the 16U
All-Stars. He did not miss a game in Wilson or Kinston.
NEW BUSINESS:
- We decided to wait until after the elections to discuss the District Tournament,
Committees and what to do with concession profits
- Danelle handed out the Treasury report for the whole year. There
were some returned checks from the fund raiser and a decision was made that
Danelle would try to re-deposit them. We will revisit this next month
if the checks are still not good. The T-Shirts, snow cone machine and
the concession stand rental came out of the concession profits.
- The CD matures in October. Danelle asked if we should make it a
Money Market account. It makes the money more available and we can put
it back in a CD after the District Tournment. A motion was made,
seconded and approved.
- We voted to send Wade Connor flowers. He was hospitalized this week
and Cindy will make the arrangements.
- We were told that we could use action shots as a fund raiser for next
year. Far Vista Photography made the offer. We decided to wait
until the next Board to make a decision.
- Jerry was invited to attend a meeting of the Boy's Babe Ruth League to
discuss building private fields. Everyone present, except Cindi voted
to have Jerry attend the meeting.
- The Sun Journal fee for the Fall Ball was $500, the Shopper cost $54.40
and the signs were $116.62.
- We are going to start the Fall league on September 7th at 11:00 on Trader
field. We are having catcher instruction for about 30 minutes then we
will break into teams and go to the fields. Each child is to play each
position. We have no outs and will bat around. We will finish
each week with a three inning game.
- The next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, September 9th at 6:30pm in the Trent
Woods Town Hall.
- There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Robin Ball, League Secretary
