November 2003 Newsletter

Winter is coming, the clocks have been turned back, and now it's time to look toward winter and lots of exciting things:

- Pastor Hoppy Pohlmann from Amalinda Baptist Church in South Africa had a successful visit with us, and he shared much about the needs there. We are in the early stages of planning a church construction trip to the East London area, possibly after Easter in April. If you would like to know more about it, speak to Patrick Murphy or Richard Sullins.

- Our monthly fellowship meal on the first Sunday in Thanksgiving will not be held.

- Tentatively we have planned a joint Thanksgiving service for Wednesday, November 26, at 7 pm at the church. Keep checking here for updates.

- Our summer Sunday evening services have concluded for the year. They were a great success, and we will be building and expanding on them next year.

- The Adult Choir is now preparing its Christmas program called "Holy Child", with practices on Wednesday evenings at 8:00. The planned date for their performance is Sunday, December 21, during the 11:00 service. If you want to learn some music, sing praises to God, and have some fun at the same time, the Choir is the place for you.

- The children are also having Christmas rehearsals on Wednesday evenings, with their practices going from 7 until 8 pm. Gretchen Watkins can give you more information.

- Wednesday night Bible Study this month is in First Thessalonians. This church had a number of questions for Paul that are being asked still by people today. It is a very timely study, so won't you join us?
