Spiritual Stone of Fire - Goron Ruby
From the Great Deku Tree, go straight until you're at the other side of the forest. You'll see a large tunnel; this is the exit from the Kokiri Forest, so go on through it. On your way out, you'll see Saria, and she'll give you a Fairy Ocarina. After your good-byes, you're on to Hyrule Field. Right at the edge of the Field, you'll meet Kaepora Gaepora, the owl. (How to pronounce his name, I've yet to find out.) He'll tell you some stuff and fly away. Keep on the path in front of you, going straight, until you see Hyrule Castle. Hurry across the bridge, because it should begin to get dark and when it gets dark, they draw the bridge. Then you’re stuck in Hyrule Field with Stalchildren until morning.
Hyrule Market, what a lovely place. There's a bunch of things to do. In the little area, across the draw bridge, but not quite in the market, there's a door to the side. In that room are a BUNCH of pots and there are rupees in a lot of them. (And a Gold Skulltula in a box!) When you're actually in the market, there's a Bazaar, a Potion Shop, a Shooting Gallery, a bombchu place, a treasure chest game place, and a Happy Mask Shop. The treasure chest game place is only open at night, and the bombchu place and Happy Mask Shop aren't open yet. There are a bunch of funny people to talk to, also there's the entrance to the Temple of Time, which you'll find out more about later. If you can win the game in the Shooting Gallery, you can get a Deku Seed Bag upgrade.
And there's some stuff to do at night too. At night, there are a bunch of dogs roaming around the market. Go to the white dog near the Bazaar and get him to follow you. Make sure no other dogs are following you, because then the white dog won't. Lead him to the Back Alley. To get to the Back Alley, go near the Treasure Chest Game place and walk towards the back. You'll then see two doors. Go to the one in front of you, not to the side. Then go talk to the fat lady. If you have the right dog tailing you, then you'll find out that the dog's name is Richard and he was lost. Since you returned him, the fat lady gives you a piece of heart! Yay! :)
To get to Hyrule Castle, just cross the Market. You need to go there during the day or else you won't meet Malon. Malon is a little girl from Lon Lon Ranch. She's waiting for her dad who is delivering milk to the castle, but probably fell asleep. (You'll find her by some vines on the wall. If you don't see her there, you probably saw her in Hyrule Market and didn't realize it. Just reenter the Hyrule Castle area.) She'll give you a weird egg, and it will hatch over night. To actually get the castle and Zelda, you'll have to avoid a bunch of guards. First, climb up the vines near where you met Malon. This way, you don't have to bribe a guard to open the gate. Just hop down on the other side of the gate roof. Watch out, there's a guard on the hill across the road. Then follow the road until it turns, then walk up the slope because there are guards just beyond the turn. Just walk across the yard to the stone wall and follow it til you come to a ledge. There should be some rocks to help you climb up it. Then get in the moat and swim to the left until you come to a corner. In the corner is a little slope you can climb up to get out. After your egg hatches, keep walking and you’ll see some dude sleeping by some boxes of Lon Lon Milk. This is Talon, Malon's dad. Try talking to him and he’ll mumble a bit. Then use your cucco on him. He'll wake up, talk to you for a bit, then run off to get Malon. When he's gone, look across the moat and there will be a little hole, but you can't reach it yet. Get the first box of Lon Lon milk and push it off the onto the little ledge below. Then put the second box on top of the first. Climb on these boxes and you can jump to the little hole. (Make sure you go through the hole during the day, because at night, there will be guards waiting for you on the other side.) When you emerge, there will be a few sections with guards guarding them. Just cross when the guards aren't looking and eventually, you'll end up in the Castle Courtyard. At the end is Zelda!! You two will talk and she'll tell you about her dream and Ganondorf and "the plan". Then she'll point out Impa, who you need to talk to. Now, Impa is SCARY lookin', especially for a nanny! But she'll teach you Zelda's Lullaby and escort you through the palace so you don't have to put up with the guards again. But before you walk up to Impa, there's some funny stuff in the Courtyard. Look in windows to the left; there are pictures of Mario characters!! :D Also, if you shoot a Deku seed in the left window, you get some rupees. If you shoot it in the other window some guy will come out and yell at you and throw a bomb at you! LOL! Anyhow, when you're out of the castle, she'll show you Death Mountain, at the base of which is her hometown, Kakariko Village. She'll also tell you about the Gorons, which live on the mountain. The Gorons hold the Spiritual Stone of Fire, otherwise known as Goron's Ruby. You get the impression that you are supposed to go up the mountain, but before you go, there are a few things you should do. The first of which is go to Lon Lon Ranch.
In Lon Lon Ranch, when you enter, there is a room to the left. Go in and meet Talon who will invite you to play a game for 10 rupees. You have to find three Super Cuccos and pick them up in 30 seconds. It's kind of annoying though, because they look exactly like regular cuccos. Anyway, one is usually by the door, by the pile of hay, and by the wall opposite the hay. If you don't find them all the first time, Talon will let you play again for five rupees. If you find them all within 30 seconds, Talon gives you a bottle of milk, which is good for when you're younger because it fills five hearts. But another good thing about the prize is the bottle he gives it to you in!! You can keep the bottle and put other things in it! You can put: more milk, bugs, fish, potions, Poes, and fairies in it!
Once you're done with that, go out to the gate of horses and find Malon, she'll say a few things, but when she stops, keeping talking to her. When she starts repeating herself, whip out your ocarina. Then she'll teach you Epona's Song! This will be good for when you're grown up... And once you're done with that, look opposite side of the Ranch from where you came in at. There should be a silo-looking thing; go in it and you'll find boxes of milk and cows. Move the boxes away from the walls, and you'll find a hole. Crawl through and you'll find a little room with a piece of heart! And that's all for the Lon Lon Ranch. Once you're done HERE, go back to Kokiri Forest, because by now, Navi should be yelling at you to go see what Saria thinks of all this.
In the Kokiri Forest, when you come in, go to the left and climb up the ledge, then go left again. You'll come upon some vines, climb up them. Follow the path until you come upon the entrance to the Lost Woods. Go on in and turn to the tunnel on the right and in that area, you'll see a plate-looking thing hanging from a tree. Pull out your slingshot and shoot it. When you get "100" three times, a Scrub will pop up and give a Deku Seed upgrade! Go down the ladder and you'll see some stumps. Go up on the empty stump and some Skullkids will appear. Whip out your ocarina. They'll give you some songs to play. When you complete them the first few times, you'll only get some rupees so keep on repeating their songs. After awhile, they'll give you a piece of heart! :) Now, go back up the ladder, and go to the tunnel on your left, and talk to Owl Man. Take his advice and listen for Saria's Song. If you come up to a tunnel and don't hear her song, you'll just end up back at the entrance to the Lost Woods. But if you follow her song, you'll end up in the Sacred Forest Meadow. (Or instead of listening, you could just do this. Take the tunnel at Owl Man's right, then left, straight, left, and right. Now you're in the Sacred Forest Meadow. Oooooooooo... (lol)
Walk towards the gate in front of you and two (sometimes only one) Wolfos will pop up from the ground. They're pretty easy to get rid of. Just Z-target one and shield yourself. Right after he swings at you, slash him with your sword. After a few slashings, he'll die. Then Z-target the other and do the same thing. And don't worry about one Wolfos getting you when you're fighting the other, it usually won't happen. After they're gone, the gate will open. There's a maze of little walkway. Just walk through them. But beware, at the end of some halls are Mad Scrubs. Just reflect their bullets with your shield and hurry and hit them with your sword, because they'll try to run away. After awhile, you'll come to some stairs. Across from the stairs is a ladder. Go up the ladder, into the little pit, and then into the hole. In there is a fairy pool. You can touch one to refill your energy and/or save one in a bottle for later use. Once you're done there, go back to the stairs and walk up them. There will be two Mad Scrubs to get rid of, so make haste. When you're done there, go on up the rest of the stairs. There you'll meet Saria! There, she'll teach you Saria's Song. After that, go back down the stairs and climb the ladder. To get back to where you were when you fought the wolves, jump from wall to wall to get there, then head out the tunnel, talk to Owl Man again, then to the tunnel on your right. You'll be in the Kokiri Forest. Don't worry, that's where you're supposed to be. Go back in the Lost Woods and go in the tunnel to the left. There you'll see a Skullkid. Get on the stump and whip out your fairy ocarina and play Saria's Song. He'll give you a piece of heart because he's a friend of Saria's and obviously, so are you. Anyway, go to the other tunnel in the room and climb down the ladder. Towards the back of the room is a Business Scrub who will sell you an upgrade of Deku sticks! Now you can hold up to 20 Deku sticks. After THAT, go back out to Kokiri Forest, and finally out to Hyrule Field. You're on your way to Kakariko Village!!
Go to where Impa showed you the entrance to the mountain, and go on up the stairs.
Perhaps one of the first things you'll notice there's a bunch of cuccos running around. There's a reason for that. If you catch all the cuccos and put them in a pin near the entrance to the Graveyard, the cucco lady will give you a bottle!!
The first cucco: Right near the entrance.
Second: Go up the stairs to the right and you'll find a fence with a cucco on the
other side. Since you can't get to it from there, shoot the cucco with a Deku seed. It'll
spaz out and run off the edge to the ground where you can get it.
Third: Go up two sets of stairs to the left of the entrance of the village and there's a cucco near the gate to Death Mountain.
Fourth: Near the stairs to the left of the entrance, there's a box. Roll into it
using the attack button and you'll find a cucco inside.
Fifth: There's a cucco right near the pin!
Sixth and Seventh: You'll need to get a cucco from the pin. Bring it up the stairs
that lead to the windmill. Then, holding the cucco, jump off the edge towards the big
fence. Right when you get to the fence, let go of the cucco; this should leave you hanging
onto the fence. Pull yourself up and drop down to the other side. Get the cucco that was
hiding behind the fence and the one you used to get there, and throw them back over the
fence by going up the stairs to the back and throwing them over. Then, go up the ladder
and get the other cucco and throw him over the fence. Once you get all the cuccos, throw YOURSELF over the fence! (lol) Then gather all the cuccos and put them in the pin. Once all seven are in there, talk to the lady standing near the pin. She'll give you a bottle! Yay! (You'll notice later that everyday the cuccos get out again. If you want to put them all back again, the cucco lady will give you a purple rupee!
One of the houses is the house of Skulltula. It's a rich family that has been turned into spiders! The more Gold Skulltulas you kill, the more of the curse you break. And the more stuff they'll give you. Refer to the Gold Skulltula Section for more info.
Now, go onto the graveyard. Go all the way to the back and you'll find a large gravestone and a patch of grass that looks like the Triforce. Stand on the patch of grass and play Zelda's Lullaby. Then things get really creepy lookin' and the grave stone explodes. There is a hole under it, so hop in. It's the Royal Family's Tomb. There's a sloping hallway and a chamber at the end. If you look closely, you'll find four Keese perched on the walls. Kill them by shooting them with Deku seeds. When they're all dead, the door should open; go on through it. Now this part is really scary. It's a room full of ReDeads- mummy-lookin' things that paralyze you then jump on you and start sucking your blood!!! Okay, so they may not be sucking your blood, but it certainly looks like it! Also, in the room are pits of slime that will hurt you if you touch. Well, here's what you do: run straight across the room, just run through the slime mess. It's better than being attacked by the ReDeads. And if you DO get attacked, you'll know it. You'll suddenly freeze (and hear an odd scream in the background) and you'll see a ReDead walking towards you. What you do is keep pressing the A or B buttons and you may be able to unfreeze before they get to you. At the end of this chamber is another room. Once you're in there, don't worry about the ReDead freaks, they're not going to come after you in there. When you get to the other room, you may be disappointed by not seeing a chest or anything, but don't be discouraged! Go to the far wall and you'll see that it's readable. Go on and press the "read" button and you'll read a poem and see a song. This is Sun's Song!! When you play Sun's Song, you can turn day into night or night into day. When you play it in front of ReDeads, it will freeze THEM and you can slash them up with your sword. Eventually they die. But be warned, they only stay frozen for a short time. Anyway, run back through the room, and go outside again.
If you went in the tomb during the day, you'll find that it's dark outside. That's cool because now Dampé is on the loose! (If it’s not night time, play Sun’s Song and make it night time.) Go talk to Dampé and he'll ask you if you want him to dig there. Well, look around, or listen to where you walk and make sure he's standing on some dirt instead of brick. Have him dig on the dirt and rupees will pop out, but sometimes nothing. One patch of dirt has a piece of heart! But it's random, so be careful, you may run out of rupees. Anyway, once you find the piece of heart (or you run out of rupees, whichever comes first) look for a gravestone with flowers in front of it. Pull it from behind and you'll find a hole. Go on into it. In there, you'll find a chest! And in it is a Hylian shield!! Yay!! :) The Hylian shield is too big for Link right now. If you equip it and press R to shield, he will keep the shield on his back and bend over the shield himself. It’s not very good for battling, so you may want to keep your Deku shield equipped for now.
Now go on out back to the village. Go up to the entrance to Death Mountain and talk to the guard. He'll make fun of you at first, so show him Princess Zelda's note. He'll let you in and then complain about how his kid wants a mask, but he's too busy to go get one. This is your cue to go to the Happy Mask Shop in Hyrule Market and buy your first mask. It's the Keaton Mask. If you wanna have fun, remember to go to the stage in the Lost Woods. Then bring it back to the guard. He'll buy it from you. Then you go back to the Happy Mask Shop and pay the funky little dude back. Then you can get your next mask: the Skull Mask. Refer to the Mask Section for how to go on further. Anyway, once you're done with the mask deal, head on up the mountain.
The first baddies you'll encounter are Tektites. They're these annoying little bug dudes that hop around like maniacs, making it harder to kill them. However, it's not difficult, just annoying. Anyway, a little further on, you'll see a huge boulder and a pile of rocks that move when you go close. But it's not rocks, it's a Goron! (Aren't they cuuute?) Anyway, keep going on the path until you get to the entrance of Goron City, go visit some Gorons.
Once in there, you'll find that there are different levels; you'll want to go to the bottom level. Down there, you'll see a door with red carvings and a carpet in front of it. Stand on the carpet and play Zelda's Lullaby. The door will open, go on in. There you'll see a huge, mean looking Goron: Darunia! He'll whine about his problems and when he finishes, play Saria's Song. It is sooo funny! He's gonna spaz out and start dancing around and all. When he finally calms down, he'll tell you that if you want the Goron's Ruby (aka, Spiritual Stone of Fire) you have to go to Dodongo's Cavern and get rid of all the Dodongos so the Goron's could use the food again. He'll also give you Goron's Bracelet! This is VERY useful, now you can pick up bomb flowers!
Now, make your way out of Goron City and go to the right. There you'll see a Goron and a bomb flower near the cliff. Pick the bomb flower and throw it over the edge. If done correctly, when the bomb blows up, so will the boulder blocking the entrance to Dodongo's Cavern. So, get down there and get rid of those Dodongos!
Go on in where the boulder was blocking and you'll see another blocked entrance. Grab a bomb flower from near by and blow it up! Thus, revealing Dodongo's Cavern...ooooo, creepy. Go in and investigate. You'll see a platform in the middle and little moving columns and platforms to the right and left. On the platforms, you'll notice eye dudes on a column called Beamos. Beware of them! If they "see" you, they'll start shooting lasers at you and won't stop until they can't see you. But don't worry too much, they're easy to avoid. Just don't make eye contact. LOL. Okay, first of all, go to the platform to the right by way of ladder on the far side, or hopping across from the platform in the middle. Get rid of the Beamos by throwing a bomb flower at it. Then blow away the stone wall near the Beamos by using another bomb flower, then go on in. You can blow away the stone wall on the other side of the platform, but it's just a gossip stone. Okay, moving on, you'll see a zigzagged pathway. Be careful, because Baby Dodongos will pop out of the ground, and when you hit them with your sword, they'll start blinking, then explode. Once they're taken care of, climb up the ledge and continue forward to find a switch. The switch unlocks the barred door when stepped on. However, the switch pops back up when you step off, making the door locked again. So here's what you do. Grab a statute pull and shove so that it stands on the switch, then you can go through the door. Next, is a short hallway with two Keese in it. Just kill the Keese and go through the next door, easy enough. The next room, however, isn't so easy. Here you'll encounter Lizalfos. Defeat them using the same method used for killing the Wolfos near the Sacred Forest Meadow. Except with Lizalfos, they hop away before you can finish them. When one hops away, don't chase it, just wait for the other one to approach you. Beat that one up and it will run, then the other one will come back. After you kill this one, the other will come to you to meet his demise. After they're gone, a barred door will unlock. The next room is a dark room with three Dodongos in it! But don't worry, it's not that hard. Just whack at the Dodongos from behind. But be careful, each time you hit them, they’ll turn around and blow fire at you. After a few times of this, the fall down and explode. You can defeat them or something easier. Just look to the corner at the right and you'll see a lit torch. Get a Deku stick and light the three torches and a barred door will unlock. If you choose to defeat the Dodongos, you’ll have to light the torches anyway. But stay away from the Dodongos unless they're stunned, if not, they'll start blowing fire at you. Anyway, once you go through the door, you'll notice you're back in the main room with all the eye dudes! BUT, you have a switch in front of you. Step on the switch and a barred door on the platform across the room will unlock. So, hop over across the room, but don't go through the door quite yet. First get rid of the Beamos on that side. Then you'll see a stone wall you can bomb away, so go ahead and blow it away with a nearby bomb flower. Inside is a big chest. Open it to reveal the map! :D Okay, NOW you can go through the door. This room is cool. There's a large stone thing surrounded by bomb flowers. But we ignore that for now. First, find the single bomb flower and blow up the stone wall next to it. Now go through the door and you'll see three statue dudes. But one of them is mean!! The one facing you is an Armos and, when touched, will come to life. So here's what you do, make it come to life, then grab a bomb flower and throw it at it. The statue will spaz out and spin around then explode! Just use your shield to block him. Behind him was a big chest with the compass! Yay! Okay, now go back out to the big stone thingie with a bunch of bomb flowers. Take the single bomb flower and set it where there's one missing around the stone thing. When it explodes, it will set the bomb flowers next to it off and so on like a domino effect. Once they all explode, the stone thing will fall down to make steps for you to climb up. So go on and climb them, then go to the left or the right, it doesn't matter. On the vines opposite of the door are a Skullwalltula and a Gold Skulltula. (You'll have to climb up the vines to get the Gold Skulltula token.) Then go on through the door. Now for the next room, just stand there and kill the Fire Keese with Deku Seeds. Be careful because if they touch your Deku shield, it'll light on fire and burn away. Once the Fire Keese are gone, carefully look at the statues and find the one with a ladder behind him. You can move him away from the ladder without it coming to life, so do so. Then climb up the ladder, step on the switch, unbar the door and go through it. Now you'll find that you're back in the main room again, but much higher up. So, go across the bridge, being aware of Fire Keese nearby, and go through to the next room. This is one is... interesting. It's a room of narrow pathways and there are spiky things that move around in some of those pathways! But they can be easily avoided, just watch where you step. When you get to the far wall, move that block and get the heart behind it. Then move it against the pillar and climb up. There's a bomb flower and you'll see a stone wall. I think we all know what to do. But it's hard. You have to throw the bomb flower at the stone wall, but right before it explodes, or else it'll just fall it the floor. It's hard, but possible. So once the wall's gone, go on through to the next room. Here, there's a column of fire. To get rid of it, all you need to do is shoot the eye plaque on the opposite wall. The fire will go out, and you can hop across. If you were out of Deku seeds, as I was, drop to the ground and there's a shrub with some Deku seeds in it. Now, there's a long hallway with some more Baby Dodongos hidden in the ground that will pop up. Take care of them and go on through the door. Now you're in another room with Lizalfos. Just take care of them the same way. If need be, there are some heart on a platform way towards the back. Go through the newly unlocked door and you'll find another room with a column of fire and eyes, but this one is different. Once you take care of the first fire (with the eye in the same place as last time), there's another one. Just hop to where the first fire was then turn to the left. There's another eye to shoot. So shoot it, hop across and out the room. NOW you're back in the room with the spiky thingies! But, you're in a place you couldn't reach before, thankfully. Just hop across to the other side and get the big chest. (Big chests are good news :) ) Open it to get a bomb bag!! It's great! Now you can carry bombs around and not have to depend on bomb flowers to blow something up! VERY useful because once you leave Death Mountain, where there are no bomb flowers. And because curiosity killed the cat, I'll just go ahead and tell you. There's nothing but Business Scrubs in the room behind the stone wall. They try to sell you overpriced Deku seeds and Deku nuts. So it's not really worth it to visit them, especially considering that when you jump down, you can't get back up, and have to go through that part of the dungeon again. No fun. Okay, anyway, so once you have that go on through to the next room. But again you're in the main room! But AGAIN, you're in front of a switch. Step on it and one of the moving platforms will come up to your level. At first, I couldn't figure out what it was for. But now I know. It's for if you die, you can just ride the platform to the top instead of having to go through all the rooms again. Now look to the right and there's a little pathway going to another high bridge. This bridge has two holes in it. Drop a bomb down each hole. They'll explode and make the big Dodongo statue's eyes red. This will open his mouth, leading to a new place! So hop down, be careful with the Beamos and go on in his mouth and open the door. There are some Fire Keese in this room, so get rid of them first. Then hop down and climb up the path to the right. There's a long hallway that leads to another room with Fire Keese. To make your life easier, kill all of these guys too. They are SO annoying! Once they're gone, hop down, go around some corners, then climb up the blocks. Walk on top the little wall until you see an exit. But also look around for a bombable wall. Behind it is a room with a Gold Skulltula. But watch out, there's an Armos guarding it. Then continue on to exit the room. Check out the pots next the exit, in one, there's a fairy! :) Fairies are always good. There's another long hall and you end up in the first room after you went in the big Dodongo statue's mouth. Be sure to push the block down and be careful, because somehow the Fire Keese came back to life. Push the big block into the hole in the middle of the room. In the little hole, there's a switch which unbars the door. Once you get the block to depress the switch, go in the door and into a really bright room with a patch of dirt in the middle. Across the way is a small chest with bombs in it. Put a bomb on the dirt to expose a hole. Jump in and you fall right into KING DODONGO'S CHAMBER!!!!!
Actually, he's not that hard. In fact, I think he's the easiest of all the bosses. You'll see he's in a room with walkways on the sides and a huge lava pit in the middle. What's going to happen is he'll take a few steps towards you, then roar. While his mouth is open, take a bomb and throw it in his mouth. He'll be stunned, so smack him with your sword. But you can only hit him once until he wakes up. He then rolls up into a ball and rolls around until he hits a wall, turns around and starts walking to you again. Just do the same thing. And instead of running away from him when he rolls around, I found a spot on the side of the lava pit where it slopes that you can stand on. He won't hit you when he rolls by, and the lava won't hurt you. Anyway, once you've thrown bombs and hit him a few times, he'll eventually give up and roll carelessly into the lava pit, and die. YAY!!! YOU'VE DEFEATED THE INFERNAL DINOSAUR KING DODONGO! And this means we can negotiate getting the Goron's Ruby and, and... Calm down. Just get your heart and go into the blue light.
You'll land outside, in front of Dodongo's Cavern. Then Darunia will land behind you from out of no where. He'll talk a little then give you the Spiritual Stone of Fire!!! YAY!! YEEHAW!! Yeehaw? Never mind. Anyway, Darunia will also tell you to go to the top of the mountain to see a fairy. Then Gorons fall from above to send you off. Since you don't want a "big Goron hug" you RUN.
Now that you've got a Bomb Bag, go exploring in Goron City a bit. Go back to Darunia's chambers and use the torch in there and a Deku Stick to light the three torches in the room before. The huge Goron vase in the middle of the room will start spinning. Go up a level and throw bombs in the vase. When the bomb explodes, the vase will spin around really quickly and goodies will pop up. Goodies like rupees, bombs, and eventually a piece of heart will pop out! Go to the turquois level and you'll see a big Goron rolling around. Find his sign near the area where the path makes a tunnel in the wall. Around the sign, use a bomb to stop the Goron from rolling. He will give you a bomb bag upgrade! On the top level, go all the way to the left side, blow the stones away with a bomb, and continue to the room back there. There are a LOT of stones in this room. Blow away the tan ones and follow the maze they make. At the end, there's a little clearly with some treasure chests and a box. The chests have purple rupees and there's a Gold Skulltula in the box.
Once you're done exploring Goron City, continue up Death Mountain. Go back down the trail to were there's a pole with a red flag and climb up the steep part. There will be some boulders blocking your way, so just blow those away with bombs. Under one boulder is a grotto! Hop in and there's a cow! (How it got there, nobody knows.) Anyway, keep going up the mountain and you'll find that things start falling on you! At this point, you'll want to equip you're Hylian Shield. Since it's a bit too big for you, it won't work as a normal shield when you press R, but better. When you press R you'll bend over and since the shield is on your back, it'll protect you from falling rocks. Eventually, the rocks will stop falling, and you'll have a big wall to climb, so climb up. But be careful! There are Skullwalltulas on the wall! Shoot them before you climb up. When you finally climb to the top, Kaepora Gaepora will be waiting for you. (He's really freaky looking at night.) But amazingly, he won't talk to you unless you start the conversation. So don't. Look towards the left and you'll see a stone wall, so go on and blow it up and enter. Inside is the Great Fairy's Fountain! It's a really pretty place. Go up to the Triforce symbol on the floor and play Zelda's Lullaby. A Great Fairy will pop out of the fountain. Too bad she's not as pretty as her fountain. She looks like some gothic hoochie or something. Ahem, anyway, she'll give you the secret spin attack. This is when you hold B then release, "an extra wave of energy is released." And you also get a magic meter and a tip to see her friend by Hyrule Castle. So exit the fountain and now you talk to the old owl. He'll yak a bit, but then he'll give you a ride down the mountain!
You'll end up on a roof in the Kakariko. Turn around and look over the edge of the roof. You'll see a ledge, so hop down on it. Then you'll see a hole in the wall, go in it. Now you're in the house with a cow in a pen, and you're with the cow! Grab the piece of heart, ask the cow for Lon Lon milk if need be, and head on out. You've gotten the Spiritual Stone of Fire and you're on with your journey! Now let's find the third stone!
