Oh holy night! The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior's birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine Oh night divine

Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the wise men from Orient land
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend.
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name.

Words by Chappeau de Roquemaure
Translated by John S. Dwight

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields,
keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold,
an angel of the Lord stood before them,
and the glory of the Lord shone around them,
and they were greatly afraid.
Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid,
for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy
which will be to all people.
For there is born to you this day
in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."

Luke 2:8-11 (NKJV)

This is the greatest story ever told,
and it is the best news ever shared.
Two thousand years ago, the Lord came to this earth.
He left His Heavenly home to come here as a baby.
He was born of a virgin as prophesied in the book of Isaiah (chapter 7 vs. 14).
He was born in a stable among the animals
and He was layed in a manger.
Our Lord Jesus did this for you and me
so that we may have eternal life with the Father.
He gave Himself as a sacrifice for our sins.
What a gift!!!

This gift cost Jesus everything, it cost Him His life.
However, it is a free gift for all of us.
This free gift, known as salvation, is for everyone.
Jesus wants to give you this gift...all you have to do is receive it.
If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I pray that you ask Him for this gift.
To receive this gift of salvation,
you must realize that you are a sinner and that you need a savior.
Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to come into your heart.
But it doesn't stop there.
Make Jesus your best friend by spending time with Him every day.
Get to know Him by reading His Word.
This "gift" is the most valuable one you will ever receive.
It is one that you will not want to return.
