About West Charlotte High School
West Charlotte High School is a predominantly black high school in northwest Charlotte. Since its opening in 1938 West Charlotte has excelled in the 3 A's: Academics, Athletics, and The Arts. West Charlotte High continues to ameliorate its reputation through its many nationally recognized organizations such as its Youth Council of the NAACP, The West Charlotte Marching Lions, The Stage/Jazz Ensemble, The Chamber Choir, The Gospel Choir, JROTC Drill Teams, and more. West Charlotte students are a part of a long tradidtion of hardwork and dedication
