This web site is dedicated to all City of Durham Fire Fighters and fire fighters throughout the world who have died in the line of duty.

We welcome all visitors to browse through our pages. This site has been designed to provide information to our members and the public about the operations and service of our proud union.

The Professional Fire Fighters of Durham, IAFF Local 668, represent all 240 plus uniformed members of the Durham Fire Department. The department covers 92 square miles with 14 fire stations.

The proud men and women of the Professional Fire Fighters of Durham, IAFF Local 668, risk their lives daily to provide structural fire fighting, technical rescues, medical services (Advance Life Support), hazardous material response to the citizens and visitors of Durham.

We are fully aware of the extreme danger that comes with our chosen profession as fire fighters; we accept it wholeheartedly. We are proud and honored to have been chosen to serve this outstanding community.
