What made Dale Earnhardt such a great man? He was a great racer who made no excuses for racing.
He commanded respect and also gave respect where it was due.

My prayers as well as others will and are with Teresa and the children he leaves behind. He will live on in our memories. Dale Earnhardt has been a part of my life for several years. I lived for Nascar Sundays,or any other race he was in. As part of the Dale Earnhardt family of fans, I am deeply pained by his death, and cannot imagine how his family - Theresa & the kids, and those at DEI & Earnhardt Chevrolet, RCR & other drivers & personal friends must feel. I only know that if I'm this deeply saddened, their hurt must be close to unbearable. Dale was the greatest driver Nascar has ever seen, & I was looking forward to his 8th Championship this year, which I am certain he would have won, had God not chosen this time to take him to heaven.
