Dylan's Opinion 1984 by George Orwell is a very important read. The novel shows how government functions to increase mind control. Ministries are created for the falsification of the past, and headlines can be changed to make Big Brother's predictions accurate. This can be related to our society. In our news media, glorified versions of events are presented to us. The government passes legislation under the rug. The public, although one has access to a nearly limitless information source - the Internet - we are still so ill-informed that we actually believe our government is looking out for our best interests. Indeed, we are the modern example of the proles, and reading this book aids in this realization. David's Opinion The book 1984 was in all fairness a very good novel. It is not a mindless, pointless novel. 1984 is a novel based on political views, in which many are the same as my own views. I do think that since this is a book of political views it is either a book in which the reader will love or hate depending on his or her opinion. Daniel's Opinion I believe 1984 is a satisfactory manuscript. The paperback is at times exceptionally superior and at others is elongated in addition to tedious. The preponderance of the manuscript primarily consisted of political views in which I do not typically like. I did not to a confident degree comprehend the initiative of the novel; consequently in my belief the manuscript beyond doubt is not worth evaluation.
