Durham Fire Kills Elderly Woman

Durham fire investigators are trying to figure out who started three house fires Sunday morning, including one that killed a woman.
Eyewitness News has learned that an elderly woman died in a fire on Fleetwood Street. Firefighters were called to the scene around 1 a.m. Sunday. They tried to revive the woman, but could not. Investigators call the fire suspicious.
Later, a house went up in flames on Colfax Street just before 3 a.m. and quickly spread to a home next door. Both were badly damaged. No one was hurt.
Investigators say the Colfax Street fire looks suspicious, as well. It is the second time the house has caught fire in the past month.
