Gray's Creek's Boat 18

Boat 18

This unit is a Boat. Boat 18 is used in a multi-purpose for water rescue. Medical First Responder, and as a Rescue Unit on water ways.

(Sorry Picture Not avaiable)

The Gray's Creek area of Cumberland County is well covered in Farm Ponds, Streams, Swamp and the Cape Fear River. The Department has been called upon to assist with removal of residents during flood times, rescue swimmers and recovery of lost persons in various water ways, both in our district and with our mutual aid departments.

We are very proud that we have a small boat for this purpose. We are in the process of getting all personnel trained for water rescue and use of the boat. The boat is the least used apparatus we have but if we need it, its HERE.
