Chapter Five -- Danger

Ethen comes over. "Ryan Stanley, mental illness history, crime relating to bombings... oh shoot! that's not good. How could the company not found out before they employed him... he must a real good actor then."

"So he's very possibly the one." Lori said. "Hey Ethen, where do most of the bombings took place?"

"From our information, it is usually before the celebrities have a big show." Ethen said.

"Shoot... the next BSB show is next week." Lori said, looking really worry.

"You think he's gonna do it next week?"

"Probably Ethen... I mean we can say the Boys are lucky since he didn't put the bombs during the tour. We should go search the warehouse tomorrow." Lori said.

"Okay... I'll get a search warrant then." Ethen said.

THE NEXT DAY -- 4:17 PM

They are inside the warehouse, Ethen then asked the securities, "According to your record, how much fireworks are there?"

"There should be around 300 boxes."

Without hesitating, Lori opens one of the box. It is blank white paper inside.

"Darn it... it's a trap... did he transfer anything in here recently?" Lori asked.

"Yes... he just imported about 50 boxes today, you just opened one of them." the securities answered.

Ethen and Lori go off counting the number of boxes.

"Why is there only 300, I mean there should be 350..." Lori said.

"Lori, it is very possible that he switched some of the fireworks, that he will use for bombs, with paper as the others are not paying attention. He didn't import boxes, he just switched them." Ethen said.

"We better find evidence quickly... before he could do any harm to the Backstreet Boys." Lori said.

4 DAYS LATER

The show is 3 days later. But still, Ethen and Lori couldn't find where Ryan hide the fireworks. Lori spots Ryan exiting the building, then she enters his office, trying to look for his medicine. She searches all the drawers but she can't find anything. She looks all over the office. She then sees the jar of candy on his desk. She pulls out one of them from the bottom and unwrap it. Bingo! She found it! She put it back inside the wrapping paper and slip it in her pocket. Just as she walks toward the door, it slams open.

"What are you doing here Lori?" It is Ryan.

"I thought you went out already..." Lori said.

"Oh really... so?" Ryan questions.

"I... I need the official Backstreet Boys schedule signed, so I came here and see whether you're done or not.... it's just because I really need it... or I won't come in without asking... sorry Ryan." Lori made up a reason.

"Come over... here you go." Ryan handed her the file.

"Thanks Ryan... I'm sorry once again... I'll go back to my office now."

"Wait a minute..." Ryan takes hold of Lori's hand.

AT THE SAME TIME

Ethen is walking around, looking for Lori. He bumped into Nick because he's not paying attention.

"Oh... Nick I'm sorry..." Ethen said.

"That's k... anything wrong Ethen?" Nick asked.

"Have you seen Lori?"

"No..." Nick said.

"I can't find her..." Ethen said.

"Let me help you..." then they walk different ways to find Lori.

RYAN'S OFFICE

"Lori... don't go..."

"Ryan, please let go..." But he's holding on her too tight.

"Lori..." He starts to act like a mad man and wants to kiss Lori. Lori is trying really hard to push him away.

"Ryan... let go... what are you going!" Lori yelled.

Suddenly the door slams open.
