Chapter Fourteen -- Loving U
"How do you like this house Lori?"
"It's so nice." I said as I looked around. "Swimming pool, high ceiling, this is like my dream house!"
"You can come here all the time as long as you want to, this is my house now."
"You serious? Oh my god Nick... when are you gonna move in?"
"In two weeks." Nick answered.
"I'll help you." He led me and showed me around.
That night, we just sat there on my condo. We were really enjoying our time together. Suddenly, something on the MTV news caught both of our attention.
<This is John Norris from MTV. News from the new pop star Lori. Today, her manager Jonathan Matthews admitted his relationship with Lori. He claimed that it is hard to keep a relationship like this, but things worked out pretty well between them. Here's the latest news, 10 to the hour, every hour on MTV.>
Nick and I looked at each other in shock.
"What is he doing?"
"Lori... do you know why he'll say that?"
"No... wait... oh god..." I said, as I realized something.
"What?"
"Now I know what's going on... He might be the one who spread the rumor between us. He wants to break us apart using rumors!"
"You mean he did all these right from the beginning?"
"Yes... but we really need to make sure once he comes back."
~ 2 weeks later ~
I heard that Jonathan had came back but I couldn't contact him. He was now as popular as any manager could ever be. He was on newspaper, magazines, tv interviews, etc. Reporters were all around wherever I went and asked me about Jonathan, even though I denied it, they didn't really seem to trust me. He was so experienced in dealing with these stuff, and he convinced others really well. Whatever I said did not get people's trust. It had been bothering me a lot.
I helped Nick to move in to his new house. After we unpacked his stuff, we sat down on the couch.
"Whew! Done!" Nick said.
"Want a drink Nick? I'll go get it." I suggested.
"k... thanks Lori."
I was at the kitchen looking for cups. All of a sudden, Nick held me from the back.
"Wo! Nick, you scared me! What's up sweetie?" He put his head on my shoulder.
"Well... Lori, this is sure a nice house... I mean it's a bit too big for me, isn't it? Well, maybe having someone else here with me won't be a bad idea!" Nick said.
"oh okay... I wonder who that person will be..." I said.
"Lori..." He turned me around. "Move here with me..."
I smiled and nodded my head.
~ Next morning -- 8:30 pm ~
I slowly opened my eyes and saw Nick still asleep next to me. I sat up and went downstairs to prepare breakfast. After I was done cooking, I went upstairs and woke Nick up.
"Nick... breakfast is ready." I kissed his cheek.
"hmm?" He turned around, and cover up himself with the blanket.
