Chapter Seventeen -- The Sweetest Thing
~ Two months later -- Oakland Arena ~
We were finally done with the TV series, and the "I Need You Tonight" video. It was gonna be out after the tour. My family and friends were all at the Oakland show. I was standing backstage, Nick and I were about to perform "I Need You Tonight."
Music started and Nick was onstage. Fans started to scream.
Nick:

The music slowed down and eventually stopped before we finished the song. Nick seemed to know what was going on whereas I had no idea about it.
"Hello Oakland!" Nick said. When he holds up his microphone, I saw him wearing the ring. I just stood there and smiled, trying to figure out what was going on.
"Well... you guys can tell that Lori has no idea what's going on..." He said. "That's true... this is a total surprise for her."
The fans remained silent.
"I would like to take this opportunity..." Nick said, "especially with the presence of Lori's parents and friends, to clear up the rumor you guys have heard for the past couple of months."
I looked at him, I was amazed and wondered what he was gonna do.
"This whole Jonathan thing had been bothering Lori a lot, so I guess it is time to clear it up. Are you guys ready?........ The truth is, Jonathan made up the whole thing between Lori and himself, there's only one truth to this whole thing: Lori is my girlfriend, we started going out more than half a year ago. I wanted to make things clear because I don't want anything to bothers Lori anymore. And you guys, the fans, deserve to know the truth." The fans remained silent for a few more seconds, then replied with big applauses.
