I know that you, like me, will never forget that infamous day. It started out pretty much like any other September day. It was a beautiful clear morning with just a hint of autumn in the air. I don't think I've ever seen the sky as blue and the colors so vivid.
No one could have fathomed what lay in store for the people of America as the horrifing events began to unfold later that morning.
I remember it well! My husband was also on board a plane that morning, on a flight from Los Angeles returning to North Carolina. However, his plane was called back to the gate just prior to taxiing on the runway. It would be a week before he was able to return home.
I had friends in NYC, one of whom's son worked at the World Trade Center. My son, a firefighter, had friends in the FDNY. We would anxiouly await for some word as to their safety and their circumstances. Thank GOD they were all safe! The stories of their narrow escape were nothing short of miraculous.
Forget? No! I will never FORGET! I will remember all of you that died that day in NYC, PA and DC.
God Bless the U.S.A.

The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of rigtheousness for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for thou art with me.
Psalms 23:1-4
