The preschool program (toilet
trained to 4 or 5 years old attending daycare in morning and no school or
school in afternoon):
What sets
my preschool program apart from all the rest? It’s more than a program that has
been carefully researched and thoughtfully taught, it’s the fact that I
approach everyday with imagination, innovation and, most of all, fun! Studies
have found that learning improves when children are engaged in an enjoyable and
meaningful activity. That’s why the curriculum includes a variety of intriguing
activities that stimulate early brain development with a focus on creative
play. And although it may all look like kids having fun, it’s also learning in
action. It’s just another way that I make sure your child gets the most out of
his or her preschool experience.
Additionally, I spend a lot of time just listening to and talking with
preschoolers. This type of positive interaction encourages the development of
emotional, language, and social skills and enhances the development of a
positive self-esteem. I also provide lots of opportunities for each child to
develop personal interests at his or her own pace.
To ensure that children are kept interested, excited, and engaged in learning,
I incorporate preschool curriculums that are just the right fit for your
preschool child.
Language—
We often have both English and French children attending the daycare… play may progress in either language, but the learning activities
and caregiver guided activities are always in French. I make a point of
identifying core words during play and meal times to enhance your child’s
ability to recognize and speak in French.
Low
ratio— There is never more than 5 children in the
infant/toddler and preschool programs (inclusive).Which allows for more
individualized attention, flexibility and less sick days!
Outdoor
Play— There is a
fenced outside area designed to provide a safe and interesting place to play
and explore when weather conditions are appropriate.
Snacks
and lunch— The
children eat 2 snacks and 1 lunch. They learn to make choices, select their own
prepared snack, and enjoy the company of others in the daycare as they eat. If
your child attends school , you are responsible for
school foods needed.
All food is
provided and follows the Canadian food guide.
Dental Hygeine— The children will brush their teeth after lunch every day to
promote good dental hygiene.
