The Youth Department for the Jurisdiction of North Carolina was recommended by Grand Worthy Matron Maggie Strong in September 1962, and adopted by the Grand Chapter in September 1963 at its 63rd session held in Clinton, NC.
The purpose being to teach the principles of good citizenship and be trained in the values of charity and benevolence, the virtues of a wholesome and good life. This Department for the youth is to give young ladies an inside ideal of FAITH, LOVE, TRUTH, PURITY,& OBEDIANCE. The instructions are to be impressive as possible, always interesting.
