NEW PPG EPISODE

The new episode of the PPG came on tonight at 8. It manages to pull all of the villains together but still focuses on Mojo Jojo wanting to rule the world in a fun and silly episode. I'm no critic, so you'll have to see it for yourself. Me? I LIKED IT!

Circles Sell

Draw some round shapes and rainbow colors and you've got a hit, as we know from the PPG, probably CN's most successful show in merchandising plus the movie. The American version of Смеша́рики (Smeshariki), Gogoriki, has been airing for the past few months. I've only seen it a couple of times. It's ok, just ok (intended for ages 3-8), but I still find it the most appealing cartoon in the 4kidsTV lineup (which is not so hot). It's for kids but it's not overly kiddie (a good thing), which is mentioned in the video. I don't imagine this would be such a big hit in the US, especially with 4kids's track record and the already well known Happy Tree Friends, which parodies cutesy rainbow animal types by abusing all the characters.

PPG DVD Complete Series

I've read on-line that in 2009 they are releasing the full PPG series on DVD. So what about all us who bought season 1 already? Do we have to buy it again with the other seasons? Are are they simply releasing separate DVDs at once? A few days ago I saw the full Batman Animated Series released together in a long package for 80 dollars, 20 bucks per volume. Luckily I have all of them already separately plus Mask of the Phantasm and Sub-zero, so no worries. Unfortunately, they were more than 20 bucks per volume when I bought them years ago.

I drew a Mac oekaki yesterday and then decided to search devArt for Foster's fan arts today. The thing that really got me were these pictures of Mac and some humanesque Bloo hugging up on each other and the thing that got me got me was that there is a MacxBloo fan club. That's f****d up. They ought to be ashamed of themselves.

I just I got an e-mail from Cartoon Pizza. I sent them a reel two months ago, even though they weren't hiring. They said my 2d animation shows promise and that timing, weight, etc. can't be over perfected and to keep at it, also that my design work was the strongest part and they asked if it was something I wanted to focus on. There was nothing bad in the letter, so why do I feel so weird about it?
