Our events are designed as living history events for people to come and see what life was like for the soldiers and their families during the Civil War or Indian War time periods.Our reenactments include close order drill, shooting competitions, cannon firing demonstrations, cooking, candle making, soap making, quilting, croquet matches and lots of other kinds of demonstrations that the general public finds to be interesting and educational. We try to make our events oriented towards family activities so all family members of our group can participate and play some sort of role.This helps keep our group together. |
We are looking for any individuals who have an interest in portraying the military life of the mid 1800's on the upper great plains. We accept individuals and families who have an interest in participating and presenting an accurate portrayal of the military lifestyle associated with the western expansion of the great plains region.Our membership includes men women and children.We offer a wonderful experience and the opportunity to meet interesting people with a common passion for history and a dedication to preserving a lifestyle of the mid 1800's. |
