Just A Thought Or Two, By SilverMoon

I don't have the right to expect others to understand my grief but I do have the right to not get angry at that and love others all the same.

I don't have the right to stay stagnant but I do have the right to grow.

I don't have to right to criticize myself for things I have no control over but I do have the right to recognize when my actions did affect someone else.

I don't have the right to dwell on things that are negative but I do have the right to turn a negative into a positive.

I don't have the right to expect your approval. I needed approval when I was little. I am a grown up now and I need no one's approval but my own. If I find myself in need of your approval, I cannot see you.

I don't have the right to be humurous at someone else's expense. I don't have the right to mock someone or put them down. True humor makes people feel good, not separate from the whole, true humor is the understanding that we are all in this together.

I don't have the right to criticize, criticism echoes my own self condemnation.

I don't have the right to live in the past, it is gone, I don't have the right to live in the future, it's not here yet, I don't have the right to live in any of those two time frames, I live in the here and now.

I don't have the right to think myself above the crowd. I don't have the right to express things in a way that will make another look stupid. What I want are words that reflect my heart, not words that reflect how smart I am.

I don't have the right to think I know it all, but I do have the right to learn and evolve.

I don't have the right to expect complete perfection on behalf of myself, to err is human, I am usually uncomfortable in the presence of gods.

I don't have the right to expect you to take your glasses off when you talk to me, I do have the right to ask you to do that so I can see better into you.
