My website deals with The Grief Process and I have decided to included here a segment on spousal abuse because spousal abuse kills, spousal abuse does not go away, it only escalates in magnitude, it may start with an argument in which many cruel things are said by one of the ones involved in the argument and from then on it's easy to go further and eventually severe injury or even death can occur. Spousal abuse is not a family matter any more, it is a crime! and as such it should not be tolerated by our society. As human beings, no one is perfect, but that does not give us the right to mistreat another human being. Abuse should not be a reality in our planet. I ask of you, the reader of this page, the following question, how are we going to have peace in the world if we cannot keep the peace at home? how are we going to have safety if we cannot feel safe at home? No one should be abused, whether it is a man, woman, child or pet, no one should have to go through the horrors of abuse. Abuse is not acceptable under any circumtance, it should not happen. If you, the reader of this page, are a woman or a man being abused, seek assistance because domestic violence kills, it only gets worse. If you are an abuser, I hope for two things for you. One thing I hope for is that you seek help for your problem and the other thing I hope for you is that if you won't seek help, it is my fervent hope that you get the maximum penalty the law allows and that you are punished for your cruelty. It is my fervent hope as well that in the future more people, especially those that have undergone abuse, decide to dedicate a segment of their websites to domestic violence and through that may we be able to raise the level of understanding about this issue. Spousal abuse can happen to anyone and abuse is NOT! the fault of the one that is undergoing it or underwent it, the responsibility for the abuse falls right on the shoulders of the one that is inflicting it on his spouse or his kids or even his pets, it is a mental conditioning from early childhood, children learn to be violent towards other human beings if they witness that behavior in the home and if we raise the level of understanding and others become aware of the big problem that assails society, one day.....maybe.....one day, our society will be free of any form of abuse and that will be a day of joy and a day of peace, if not in the world....a day of peace and love at home.
