The Crow
Okay here's what I have decided ;
Rather than develop a web page full of facts about The Crow (mistakes,Brandon Lee's death,and about movie) I decided instead to make this page as a tribute to Brandon Lee's last performance and to a really great movie.
At first when I heard on the news that The Crow was going to be completed without Brandon, I had mixed feelings, I knew it wouldn't be the same without Brandon in the final scenes, but after seeing the movie I am glad it was finished because Brandon's performance was so powerful that it wouldn't have been right to let it go unfinished.
The Crow is a story of Love, Hate ,Despair, and a promise of a new tomorrow,and I have not seen anything like it before, or since.Brandon portrayed Eric Draven in such a way in The Crow, that the audience was able to feel the anger, the despair, and also new hope through his performance,and I think that is really special.
I must admit that I did see The Crow-City of angels, and I didn't like it at all , I felt It was just a plot for Pressman films to get more money, and I have not seen the series "The Crow-stairway to heaven" and have no intention of doing so. As a Brandon Lee fan, I wouldn't like to see something that would undo everything Brandon did in The Crow. I think it's really sad that when I say "The Crow", I have to add "the original" to it now because there is more than one around now, but in my mind and heart there will only be one person who can portray Eric Draven and one movie that changed my life forever.
I know some people who read this, may disagree with me about some of the things I have typed on this page, but I won't apologise for it, It's not often that a movie can change peoples lives and how they think and feel. And there are plenty of other pages on the web that support the other crow movies.
This in no way is aimed at making people who like the other crow movies feel wrong, this is just my way of expressing my feelings about The only crow movie that I think is the best.
