While walking the streets of Springfield with Marge, Homer encounters a con artist playing a game of three card monte. He makes a $20 bet and loses. Marge confronts the con artist, who attempts a hasty getaway. However, Marge gives chase and knocks him out cold. Enjoying the great adrelaline rush of police work, she enlists in the Springfield Academy. Soon, Marge realizes that her day-to-day job is less fulfilling than she expected. her new career also affects her social life: people consider her a cop even when she is off duty. One day on her beat, she sees Homer parked accross three handicapped spaces. She warns him to move the car, but Homer only taunts and makes fun of her. When he takes her hat, Marge slaps handcuffs on him and places him under arrest. Homer is released from jail. Later, while playing poker with his friends at home, he discovers that Herman is running a counterfiet jeans ring out of the Simpsons' garage and threatens to expose him. Just as Herman's henchmen advance on Homer, Marge arrives and rescues him. She learns that Wiggum and his men have stolen the counterfiet jeans for themselves. Outraged at the corruption within the force, Marge resigns. |
